Ouida Foster Toutebon, President

Welcome to Rockland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sig-
ma Theta Sorority, Inc. 20th Anniversary Fall Fusion: A Burst
of Colors!

Rockland County Alumnae Chapter has been hosting this fun-
filled evening for 20 years, and believe me, we never veered
off course. Even during the pandemic, we found a way to hold
this event virtually, and our success is due to your support.

The Rockland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been serving
the community since 1985 when 19 dynamic women came together to charter the chapter.
Since that time, we have catapulted ourselves on an upward trajectory of matchless growth
and service to the people of Rockland County. Our stellar programming is rooted in the
Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of our Sorority:

Economic Development
Educational Development
International Awareness and Involvement
Physical and Mental Health
Political Awareness and Involvement

Some of our notable local programs in these areas include our Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta
Academy, Dr. Jeanne L. Nobel GEMS Institute, the EMBODI program, the Audrey Lawson
Friends With a Blessing program, and our scholarships to deserving high school students.
Social Action continues to be at the forefront of our programs as this year is pivotal for our
sisterhood and our nation. We have an unprecedented opportunity to shape our future by
enacting the right so many of our ancestors fought for and that is the right to vote. In just a
couple of days, each of us needs to exercise this important privilege because collectively we
can make a difference. Ours is a rich history, but we believe as we move forward, the best is
yet to come thanks to your ongoing and unending support. Enjoy the evening!

DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INCORPORATED

A Service Sorority Founded in 1913

Greetings Sorors, Family, and Friends:

It is with great pleasure and an honor to join you in celebrating your Annual Fall
Fusion Fundraiser “A Burst of Colors”. I extend congratulations to President Ouida
Foster-Toutebon, the fundraising chairs and committee, and to all the members of the
Rockland County Alumnae Chapter.

I also commend you on your ability to continuing forging meaningful partnerships in
Rockland County that have helped to provide over $150,000 in funding for over 170
deserving high school graduates who seek to further their education. Your investment
in their futures inspires each to aim higher and work harder as they strive to realize
their goals and achieve their dreams.

It is through invaluable programs such as this that the Rockland County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc. has had such a profound impact on Rockland County and the surrounding area. Your passionate
support of our youth and their academic endeavors is apparent. I offer violets to each of you who played a role
in ensuring the success of this event, and to all others who are working diligently to make our shared vision a
reality. Let's continue our legacy of doing great things here in the New York Metropolitan area.

Sisterly,

generated hundreds of thousands of dollars that have been reinvested in our

Milca Meyer our international projects that raise the quality of life for children, woman and
Journal Co-Chair families living in poverty. We are Deltas and that’s what we are tasked to do!
Even a global pandemic could not stop us! We came together for two virtual
fundraisers that not only raised funds for our community but also uplifted us
during unprecedented times.

We are filled with joy to be back together again and thankful for your
unyielding support. Have a wonderful time celebrating the gift of life and the
glorious colors of Fall.
