Skillful Volunteers Make Masks Inside this issue:

BASE Creates Online Version of Exercise Class

BASE program and are familiar with the exercises. It
is always wise to check with your physician before
starting any new exercise program.

The volunteer recognition events were held in Dayton, Fort Dodge, Jewell, Stratford, and Webster City. It was
great fun to see people once again and to be able to give small gifts to say “Thank you for all you do!”

The Inside Story—Community and Family Resources

Community and Family Resources is a non-profit organization serving central Iowa. According to their
website, they are “dedicated to proactively assisting individuals, families, and communities achieve healthy
behavior and lifestyle through advocacy, prevention, and treatment of substance abuse, problem gambling,
and mental illness." Community and Family Resources offers programs focusing on preventing use and
abuse of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and gambling. Research-based programs are taught to individuals,
businesses, community groups, and children from preschool through college.

RSVP volunteers in Hamilton and Webster counties have been helping
Community and Family Resources for a number of years by putting labels on
their abundance of materials which they distribute all over central Iowa.

If you are looking for information on alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, or
gambling or if you would like to have a program presented, contact
Community and Family Resources for information on their education and
prevention programs.

Central Iowa RSVP North Staff Crossroads Mall Office Likely to

The Webster County RSVP office is currently located in the
515-733-4917 Crossroads Mall in Fort Dodge. The mall is slated for
[email protected] demolition and replacement with a new complex that
includes stores, offices, apartments, a gas station, a

Volunteer Coordinator According to the most recent information given to current
Hamilton and Webster County mall occupants, we may be able to remain in place until
next July or August.
749 2nd Street Crossroads Mall is a great location for the RSVP office as
Webster City, IA 50595 many retired people use the mall as a walking area. There
are also a fair number of shoppers who pass by the office
515-832-2525 each day. This creates good foot traffic, and encourages
Crossroads Mall--217 S. 25th St., Suite B people to drop in to the office to learn about RSVP and the
services we provide.
