The Mobile Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB), the nation’s
oldest, professional minority real estate trade association, formed 71years ago, is hosting
Community Wealth Building Day on Saturday, April 25, 2020 10am to 3pm at The Dearborn
YMCA at 351 N. Warren St. Mobile, AL 36603.

Our goal, as NAREB’s local chapter here in Mobile is to increase homeownership by
educating the Black Community about the current and long-term value of homeownership,
as opposed to renting. The U.S. Census Bureau in its 4th quarter 2019 report show that Black
American homeownership continues to sink, now at a nationwide low rate of 44%
accompanied by unemployment levels significantly higher than general market rates.
However, we are anticipating a crowd with great enthusiasm from our community.

NAREB-Mobile is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) real estate trade association. Mobile Realtists have
worked in the African American communities of Mobile since 1985 to promote Democracy in
Housing.

NAREB-Mobile membership includes real estate agents, brokers, loan officers, mortgage
brokers, title officers, appraisers, insurance agents, contractors and many supporting real estate
related businesses.

NAREB-Mobile welcomes corporate, non-profit and government partnerships with
organizations that seek to advance the mission of “Democracy in Housing” through
supporting sustainable products and services to the African American community and who
have a desire to work with NAREB-Realtists advisors to support homeownership. Our
members live, work and are stakeholders in the communities they service. Our members follow
the code of ethics that has created a strong rapport within the African American community
which makes NAREB-Mobile a significant conduit of product and services to the heart of the
community.

For more information, please contact Andreda Randelson, Local Chapter President NAREB
Mobile at (251) 219-0024.
