TIOMAN ISLAND Is an island in Rompin,Pahang. It is popular among diving
enthuasiasts. Tioman Island is open all year round. The resort will not be closed at

end of the year.

The number of tourists who visited the island in 1998 was 8001200 people.
Among the tourists who visit the island are from

Germany,Frace,Italy,England,Singapore and other countries. In a year,10,000-
50,000 tourists come to the island. In 2009,the estimated number of tourists
visiting the island reached 30,000-50,000 people a month. Most of the tourists
who come to this island are from Europe. The palace that is the focus of many to
visit is Kampung Salang. Popular resorts in Kampung Salang are Salang Pusaka
Resort,Salang Sayang Resort and Salang Indah Tioman,most of these resorts are

run by the residents of Kampung Salang.
