As per our agreement, our school counseling department will manage the educational, career, and personal social
domains as delineated in our school counseling plans. Professional School Counselors must become proactive in
providing crucial information to students, parents, teachers, administrators, and the community regarding post-
secondary options, including college. Note: Only list the following: all classroom counseling lessons, small groups,
Career Day, College Fair and parent programs to be held during the school year. Include date for Career
Day/College Fair

AUGUST

New Student Orientation.

SEPTEMBER
Scheduling new students, individual sessions regarding credits and credit recovery, College Visitations (in school)

OCTOBER
National Hispanic College Fair, College Visitation (in school), scheduling /credits reviews; SIT/SST; College application,
Scholarship applications, Anti- Bullying campaign.

NOVEMBER
Student recognition for Academic Achievement and Attendance (Visual Display), Dual Enrollment, ASVAB Test; completion of
College Applications, completion and distribution of Scholarship applications, College Visitation (in school).

DECEMBER
FAFSA PIN –Classroom activity; completion of College application; completion and distribution of Scholarship application,
Individual Counseling sessions regarding grades/graduation jeopardy, College 101 (Guidance Lesson).

JANUARY
FAFSA small group sessions; College Visitations (in school); completion of College applications; distribution and completion of
Scholarship applications, Career Interest Inventory; Course registration for current students for next year.

FEBRUARY
FAFSA workshop for parents and students; College visits (in school); completion of College applications; distribution and
completion of Scholarship applications, Counselor/Administration parent meeting with 9th grade students in jeopardy.
