I have lived in Sioux City all of my life. I am an East High and Morningside College
graduate. I think Sioux City is a great place to live and grow up.

I am an only child. I share my birthday with Abraham Lincoln which fuels an obsession I
have with him.

Travel through Yellowstone on a motorcycle.

I've been a licensed real estate professional since 2004. During my tenure I have worn
many hats including full-time sales agent, recruiter, trainer and sales manager. I am
currently the Director of Career Development as well as a practicing Realtor. Real estate
really is my passion.

Personally...

I'm a Siouxland native and have been married to Jeff Vakulskas, who is also a Chamber
member and small business owner, for 22 years. We have three sons, 19 year old twins
and a senior in high school. Our entire family enjoys calling Siouxland our home. For fun,
I like to visit the local eateries and go boating. Sunshine is my friend!

I'd like to get to the point in my life where I can travel more. There are so many places
that I want to see.

Professionally…

I like to think that my career in banking has been like college. 13 years ago I started as a
teller at First Federal and since then I have moved around, seen some dramatic things
occur, and am now a lender helping people find their first homes and forever homes.

Personally...

I have 2 amazing sassy, silly, & strong willed daughters- not sure where they get those
character traits from... Being social is one of my favorite things and I say yes to most any
invite or new experience! The other half of me loves my DVR and Netflix. Like to think it
balances me out:)

Professionally…

I have been doing insurance for almost 3 years. Prior to that I did mortgage loans for 10
years. I obviously love working with clients on their homes, only now I get to help make
sure they are insuring them properly incase of a claim and educate them on how their
insurance works.

I lived in Montana for 7 years.
I like to read obituaries, only because I like to read about other peoples lives. You can learn
a lot about someone's life from their obituary.

I am the Marketing Director at Jackson Recovery Centers. At Jackson, I am responsible
putting out all communications, creating marketing strategies for our programs and for
putting on our annual banquet. Before coming to Jackson in 2014, I worked for 9 years
at KTIV (Channel 4).

Personally...

I have lived in Siouxland my whole life. I grew up in LeMars. I moved to Sioux City in
2005. I have a daughter. She and I love exploring what Siouxland has to offer and we
make some great memories doing so.

I attended a summer semester at New York University in New York City following
September 11. I achieved a 4.0 GPA as well.
