FOREWORD

This teacher’s guidebook has been prepared in the hope that it

will be of assistance to public school, personnel and teacher

candidates in effectively carrying out their roles in learning

teaching experience. We have prepared few guides in this


guidebook to supports teachers and student learning through the

following essential components. We have prepared an explicitly

communicating conceptual goals with direct links to proposed

activities for the students and we also providing the knowledge

and support to help understand and implement teaching plan for

the teachers. In addition, we include the reinforcing pedagogical


content knowledge along with offering practices as well as

understandings of relevant pedagogical activities. Besides that, we

have presenting other alternatives and freedom of choices for the


teachers and engaging teachers in ongoing reflection. We know

many teachers do not receive a quality pre-service training, these

materials that will help them to compensate in a relative way of


their missing knowledge or practice. We as a group have an

absolute belief that this guidebook would be a help of too many


teachers as they step into teaching world.

TOPIC: PET'S WORLD.

AIM

According to the English
Language Curriculum for
Primary Schools, our guidebook
aims to assist teachers in
equipping pupils with the
necessary and basic skill of
Reading and Writing. These
two skills contribute
towards literacy and
effective communication in a
variety of contexts that
are appropriate to the pupil’s
level of development.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

According to the English Language Curriculum
for Primary Schools and the DSKP, the overall
goal is for pupils to reach the last year of
their primary school study, Year 6 and
graduate with the achievements they need to
continue their learning further. As so,

the following objectives must be able

to be achieved by pupils, specifically for

the reading and writing skill:



1. Read and comprehend a range of English texts for
benefit in acquiring information and own enjoyment.



2. Use of appropriate language, style and form to write for
different purposes through a variety of relevant media.



3. Appreciate and demonstrate understanding of English
language literacy or creative works for enjoyment and

interests.



4. Correct use of grammar rules that are appropriate in
the context of what they are writing on.



5. Appreciate and withhold moral values, positive
attitudes and patriotism.

simple monolingual dictionary.

5. read and enjoy A1 fiction or non-fiction print and
digital texts of interest.
