Snailey's Going Cross-eyed

by: Nicholas

You're riding on a bluebird, flipping over backward
Something that you once heard,
thinking of your mother

And all this snow on open roads
You're lighter than a feather,
thinking of your father

You’re laying on the seafloor,
watching all the fish soar
The bubbles floating upwards,
sharks moving like buzzards

They’ll do no harm, an octo’s arm

Reaching out to hug me,
he’s my little buddy

What is a dream? I’ve seen your face before and
Eventually, we’ll walk through the blue door &
ohh….

You're sitting on a snail shell,
slime coming from its tail
See the turtles race by,
Snailey's going cross-eyed

All is well, the sound of bells
Welcoming us home, kid

It's where our journey landed

What is a dream? I’ve seen your face before and
Eventually, we’ll walk through the blue door &
ohh….
