Pattern Guidelines
Sherry Rodehaver
In an attempt to bring some uniformity to quilling patterns and instructions the NAQG would like to
recommend that quillers use the following basic outline. If you are writing, publishing, distributing,
sharing, or otherwise making available patterns/instructions for projects to fellow quillers, it would be
very helpful if this suggested guide was followed.
Guideline for Quilling Patterns
Please Include:
1. The actual date or year the pattern/instructions were created.
2. The name of the project ...if any.
3. All of the shape names should be the shape names given in the official NAQG shape chart.
4. The number of pieces of each shape needed should be indicated.
5. The measurements should be given in both imperial and metric.
6. A photo/illustration should be included ...if available.
7. Basic assembly instructions.
8. Artist credit.
