Multiple-tier Timelines

Multiple-tier timelines use two or more rows of events.
While each row represents a different subject, the time
period is the same.

Multiple-tier timelines can be used to help us look at
cause and effect relationships or patterns and themes
among events in a specific period of time.

We will be using a multi-tier timeline to show the rise
and fall of four early civilizations in the Americas: The
Mississippian, Inca, Maya, and Aztec and look for
RELATIONSHIPS between the dates.

god. They built temples and mind to worship them. The serpent is critical to
the Mississippian because it had a purposeful relationship and that they
believed that the serpent had supernatural powers. As you can see, the

environment.

The Maya

The Mayan civilization had a powerful relationship with their gods and priests. The
Mayan had many cities. They lived around Belize and Guatemala. That is there a little
bridge connects to Columbia. They traded like what the Craftsman made or what the
farmers had cropped. Also, the Mayan government had Kings and Priests. The Kings
would find a law while the Priests would have to approve. They believed that the gods
would put these thoughts in their head. There society and cities were arranged in a
certain way. The jobs that the Peasants had to do to keep their society going. The jobs
were craftmans, farming, and merchants. The Nobles could chose if they wanted to have
a job or not. The Mayan people had a wonderful, powerful relationship with their gods.
They had a lot of sacrifices to keep their gods happy. They also listened to what their
gods wanted in the Priests minds. The Priests think that if the gods put a thought in their
mind they should do it. As You might think or hear, the Mayan had powerful relationships
with their gods and Priests.

The Aztec

In the Inca civilization, I think that they showed the true meaning of a purposeful
relationship First, The Incas lived in the Western part of South America. The Incas
lived in the Andes mountains somewhere in South America. They ranged from Chile
all the way to Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador. It was 0 degrees and it could
be up to 45 degrees. It was very cold there. Secondly, Their government was very
strong while they were alive. The government's job was to take care of the elderly,
the poor and the sick. That is why they built bridges so that they can transport
water and food. The government would also distributed foods in needed cases. To
this day there is no government like the Incas. Number one because they had an
organized government and number two they were very fast to act to anything. In
addition, The Incas were very strict but very unique on their religious practices The
Incas had lots of gods or deities and they lived on heaven and earth, they had
certain purposes. These also were three realms, the first one was Hanan Pacha
god, the celestial of the sky. Uku Pacha, the inner earth god and lastly Cay Pacha,
the outer earth where humans lived gods. Lastly, The learning they did was difficult
for many people. They wrote and spoke Quechua Academy. There is no signal for
the Quechua language. How they got these languages was because instead of a
linguists called a dialect chain from most of the Western South America. As you
can see, the Inca civilization was very purposeful in their own way. What are other
things that make the Inca civilization a purposeful civilization?
