Period 1

January 16th

I remember the story of my birth like it was yesterday. My mother and father
have told me this story several time, from the complications, to the tears of
both pain and joy, my features, and everything. One day in January my 25 year
old mom was in labor. My mom said while she was getting out the shower she
felt contractions and knew it was time for me to come. My mom was scheduled
for a C-Section on January 23,2004 but it couldn’t wait. My mom and dad said
that I was a little early, so I suffered from some breathing complications. My
mom said when she found out my breather wasn’t that strong her heart broke
and she was in a deep deal of pain. About 2 hours later my dad said the doctors
came back and everything was okay. My mom said she was crying tears of joy.
On Friday, January 16, 2004, I was born, weighing in at 8 pounds and 8 ounces.

Little Brother

The birth of my little brother has changed/shaped me tremendously. It has transformed me
into more of a wise, loving, responsible, and loving young lady. When I first found out I was
having a little brother I was furious. I wasn’t prepared for a younger sibling. I was always so
use to being the youngest the sibling and not having many responsibilities, I thought my

parents would forget about me. Fast foward approximately six and a half months later I
remember looking down at my phone and seeing the text message say, “YOUR MOM IS IN
LABORRRRRRRR!!!!!!!” My heart instantly sank. My stomach was in knots and my lips were

quivering. I remember stop doing my homework and rushing to the car with my older
brother and sister. About 20 minutes later we arrived at the hospital to where I see all my

family, my cousins, great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. At that very
moment I realized that the birth of my little brother Owen James was a beautiful

celebration and not a curse. I remember my mom rolling in on the hospital bed with my
precious little brother in her hands. Ever since December 2, 2015 my little brother and I

have been inseparable.

Jamaica Journey

My second time out of the country was to Jamaica. I love going to Jamaica because I get to
see my dad’s side of the family which I don't get see very often. The music, trees, smell,
vibes/energy, and scenery is just beautiful. My dad has eleven additional siblings, so I have
a lot of cousins. I honestly don't know how many cousins I have. When I arrive I instantly
facetime my cousin Omaria considering the fact that we talk and text every day. Our call
last for about thirty minutes , then I finally arrive to her house. I run to the house and I see
all my cousins and all my family. We started listening to Jamaican music, dancing, and
speaking the language of patwa the language. I loved every minute of it and didn't want to

leave. After spending two weeks in Kingston, Jamaica it was time to leave.

Culmination

My fifth grade culmination was so fun. I remember getting all dolled up and being so
excited. As soon as I arrived to school I see my closet friends standing in front of my school.
As I step out the car I see one of my old friends wearing the exact same dress as me. This
was not planned so we both look at each other with our jaws on the floor. We start laughing
it off and we all head into school. Everyone is looking at us and giving us compliments. We

head to our classroom and see everyone, we all looked beautiful and handsome. I was so
nervous due to the fact that I was student body president so I had to give a speech and
annoucements. When I was finish doung my speech I got a standing ovation, and Lula
Davis-Holmes the mayor of Carson at the time told me my speech was outstanding and thst
I am a very special young lady. L was so happy. After I gave my speech my fellow fiffth
grade class did a final song and dance to close out the 2014-2015 school year. My friends
and I took a countless amont of pictues and ended up seeing one another the next day.

All About Aaryn

My name is Aaryn Simone James. I was born in Friday, January 16, 2004 at
Torrance Memorial Hospital in the morning. My favorite colors are pink, yellow,
and baby blue because these specific colors are vibrant and beautiful. My zodiac

is the Capricorn which is a goat that resembles ambition, determination,
helpfulness, being practical, and conservative. I am a very hard working and
outgoing student/person. I enjoy sleeping, watching Netflix, spending time with
family and friends, and shopping. A lot of people would describe my character as
unique. Some say unique because you can never find another loving, caring,
funny, and straight forward person like myself (not to be cocky). Some people
call me super spoiled because I get everything I want, but I don't think I am. f I
could describe myself in three words they would be humble, beautiful, and
intelligent. My name is Aaryn James and thank you for viewing my snapshot

autobiography.
