The Sneezing Pea
by Sacha Adams-Coudière
Atchoo! Atchoo! Atchoo!
What can I possibly do.
All day I sit tissue in hand.
This isn’t how the day was planned.
Atchoo !
Atchoo !
Atchoo !
Mr. Pea was all in a panick!
Who can help me with my
nose – it’s simply gone
volcanic.
Sneezing as he came.
Sneezing as he goes.
Sneezing up.
Sneezing down.
Sneezing all around.
It’s just not fair my
sneezing all night.
Who can help with
my terrible plight ?
What ever can we do about his nose?
Sneezing all the way to his toes.
Fear not my little pea!
I know there must be a cure.
Let’s ask to be sure.
That’s it. I’ve got it!
I will ask the Pear.
Why do I sneeze?
He once helped the bear.
Fix his tangled fuzzy old hair.
When he got caught in a hunter snare.
He’ll help find the cause.
And get my nose to take a pause.
Dear Mr. Pear,
“ Oh please, oh please…
What is up with this
constant breeze blowing out
of my nose?”
Could is possibly be?
When I climbed in the tree.
Where I tickled the bees knees?
He had his revenge,
When he gave me his fleas.
Please leave me be,
and go pester the green bean.
“Silly old pea,
it’s not the bees knees
that makes you
sneeze.”
It’s the brisk autumn air?
So you must take better care.
Unless you want a scare.
“You must bundle up tight.
On a chilly November night.
Or you will find a sneeze
ready to bite.”
When you see the changing leaves
from green to red.
Put a hat on your head.
A scarf ‘round your neck.
And heck you’ll be free of your
sneeze since you’ll no longer freeze.
“Listen my little pea, it’s not
the bee fleas.
That keep you sneezing
all night.”
A hat, a scarf, a pair of mittens?
Still cold?
Stuff your jacket with a few furry kittens,
You’ll be all set to go.
When autumn comes in all a blow.
You’ll soon see Mr. Pea.
Your sneeze will soon leave.
If you follow my good advice!
Autumn will find you well and nice.
Atchoo !
The end.
maybe?
