2019 Farleys Arts Trust Awards

Farleys Farm is the gallery and home of surrealist artists Lee Millar and Roland Penrose. This prestigious
gallery in Chiddingly hosts a bi-annual open submission exhibition for students. Competition is fierce and
the students selected have their work hung in the gallery open to the public. Awards are given, this year
by artist Sir Peter Thomas Blake CBE, an English pop artist, best known for co-creating the sleeve design
for the Beatles' album Sgt.Pepper.
We are very proud to say that 6 of our students have had work selected.

Year 10 wow audience with their creativity and focus!

Year 10 drama students wowed their audience of friends and family and a visiting examiner with their
devised exam performances on Monday 1st July. The students created their own 20 mins of original
work on stages of grief, gun crime, bullying and archaic police laws in groups of 4 - 6 performers. The
students worked extremely hard all day preparing lighting and sound with Mr Pruden to give their
pieces a professional edge and responding to feedback from their teachers in order to make final
changes. They then showed their excellent work in the evening to a highly appreciative audience.
Well done to them all!
