We have a company Just Giving Page & Virgin Money Page, if you wish to share that it would be great, simply copy
the links below.

However if you wish to set up your own for a personal reason or event please follow our tips as set out further on in
the information, although both Just Giving and Virgin Money take you step by step through the process.

The example within is based on Just Giving, however it is similar for Virgin Money if that is the
organisation you decide to use.

Advice for our Fundraisers

Thanks for getting in touch and we are over the
moon that you are doing a fundraiser in aid of the
Fertility Network! Here are some great tips to help
you get the most success out of fundraising and
raise the most amount of money!

Setting up your Justgiving Page
Make sure that when you set up your JustGiving
Page that you give them lots of information about
the charity and what it does, but also why this
challenge and the charity means so much for you.

People’s personal stories make all the world of
difference and so a heartfelt personal story about
yours and your loved one, and the journey with
the charity will certainly help you get more
donations!

Using a great, clear photo will help too.

Getting donations

Ask the people who are the most generous
to donate first- they will set the trend-
asking around loved ones for people who
will donate larger sums, like £50 or £100,
or even several hundred pounds, will help
others to be more generous.

If the first donor only gives £5, research
shows that the other donors will copycat
this behaviour and give less!

Raising money up to the day

Not everyone is going to be comfortable with digital giving, so if you see the person start to glaze over when you talk to them about
giving online, it is probably a good idea to suggest they could donate cash to you and you can pay it in for them! Have a sponsor sheet
to hand.

Time it right!
Ask everyone at the end of the month, conventionally when everyone gets paid and is feeling flush and more likely to be generous.

We can all feel a bit embarrassed
asking Joe down the pub, or Cindy
from the office to donate, but very
often it is the least people we expect
who can be the most generous.

Don’t be afraid to ask, you are doing it
for a good cause. You can even share it
as a great way to formulate a bond
with neighbours.

If you go to a local pub quiz night or
belong to a sports club you could
always take a paper sponsorship form
down with you too and ask for
sponsorship!

Send us photos of you preparing for your challenge
We will share it on our social media with our committed followers too, this will help inspire people to give to your campaign, as well as
recruit other fundraisers.
Using various social media platforms
Video is a really engaging way of getting people to donate, and therefore some great ways of doing this is to do a Facebook Live, if you
have to train a lot for your chosen fundraiser, do a few lives in the run up to the event showing everyone how gruelling your training is.
Sweat equals more donations!

People love a good story about personal
transformation, therefore if its especially
challenging for you to complete the
challenge because of mental or physical
blocks, share with your audience and friends
why! You can post video across multiple
platforms, like LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter
and even Instagram
