A Tribute to Our Veterans

Several of our employees have served in our armed forces. On this Memorial
Day, I would like to honor them and thank them for their service. Several
of them are still active in their Reserve Unit. Listed below are the vets with

My tour in the Army was from 1960 – 1966. My basic training was at Fort
Leonard Wood, MO. It was there that I learned to appreciate what our soldiers
go through – BIVOUAC, Infiltration course, long marches and much more. I
was in the 5th Army and during our basic training we were put on alert for
the Cuban Crisis. After basic training I went to our drills every week and then
to two weeks of summer camp. It was a great experience for me. I learned
discipline, leadership and was in best physical shape of my life. Thank you
again to all of our men and women who served for our country.

On April 4th we hosted a VIP Night at Stonehaus.
Our guests spent the evening exploring our large
showroom at our new location on Decker Rd &
meeting our staff. We also were able to display
our new robot that cuts our slabs. We enjoyed
being able to interact with our customers & answer
any question they had about granite & quartz
countertops. We would like to thank everyone who

Gooey Chewy Bars

INGREDIENTS DIRECTIONS

1 pkg 2-Layer German Chocolate 1. Preheat oven to 350˚F. Grease 13x9in baking
pan.
Cake Mix
2. In large bowl, combine cake mix, melted
3/4 cup Melted butter butter and 1/3 cup of the evaporated milk. Beat
with an electric mixer on medium speed until
5oz can Evaporated milk smooth. Spread half the dough in prepared
baking pan; set aside remaining dough. In a
14oz pkg Vanilla caramels heavy large saucepan combine caramels &
remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Cook & stir
1 cup Chopped walnuts over medium-low heat until melted & smooth.
Pour evenly over dough layer in pan. Sprinkle
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips with nuts & chocolate chips. Crumble remaining
dough evenly over nuts & chocolate chips.
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY
3. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire
rack. Cut into bars. Makes 48 bars.

Brandin Gottman

Brandin Gottman is a paint and stain finish technician at WBM Vincennes
where he applies paint and stain to Therma-Tru doors. He will be receiving his
5 year service award this year. Before working for WBM, Brandin worked as a
carpenter for 10 years.Brandin was born in Washington, IN, and attended Washington
High School. When he turned 18, he moved to Vincennes, IN, and attended Vincennes
University where he pursued a degree in construction. Brandin and his girlfriend,
Rosemary (Rosie) Ragsdell, have two children: Makenzie who is 15, and their adopted
niece, Kaitlyn, who is 6. Brandin and Rosie are expecting a baby boy in June. They have
three dogs, Daisy, Tubs, and April, along with their cat, Braskey. Brandin is a family
man; he enjoys remodeling his house or watching movies when he is not cheering on
his children at sporting events, dance recitals or gymnastics meets.

S Sonya Embreyonya Embrey has worked at our Niehaus Lumber Vincennes location for three
months. She assists customers with paint questions and guides them to the
right products, as well as helps contractors place orders. Before working for
us, Sonya worked in construction, restoration and retail. Sonya was born in Monroe
City, IN, where she attended South Knox Elementary. She later moved to Petersburg,
at age 10, where she attended Pike Central High School. In 2000, Sonya earned her
Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. She has since settled
down in Vincennes, IN. Sonya and her husband, Ryan Embrey, will be celebrating
15 years of marriage and have three children: Brittany who is 28, Billy Joe, 26, and
Jasmine, 24. Sonya has four grandchildren: Xavier, Zayden, Melanie and Alek. She
also has three “terrifying” dogs: Chevy and Roxy, rat terriers, and Brutis, a lab. Sonya
enjoys escaping to the woods for some peace and quiet; there, she enjoys hunting
and fishing.

L Lane Voriesane Vories is the shop manager for Stonehaus where he runs the saw and
keeps the staff on track. He has been with our company for 3 years. Before
working for us, Lane was a butcher at Jay-C Food Store in Vincennes, IN.
Lane was born in Vincennes, raised in Edwardsport and made his way back to
Vincennes, IN. He attended Lawrenceville High School. Lane pursued a degree in
Law Enforcement at Vincennes University. Lane, and his girlfriend Chelsea Winkles,
are giddily expecting a baby girl in August. They have a German Sheppard, Bella. In
his free time, he enjoys fishing and golfing.

J Jennifer Kidwellennifer Kidwell is the general manager at our Inspire Design Center Terre
Haute location. She manages the showroom, designs and sells cabinets and

countertops, and consults with homeowners and builders. She has been working

for our company for 9 months. Before working for us, Jennifer worked in the

industry for 15 years designing and selling cabinets. Jennifer was born and raised in

Brazil, IN, where she attended Northview High School. She moved to Terre Haute to

attend Indiana State University and has stayed in Terre Haute ever since. She and her

husband, David “Hank” Kidwell, have been married for 28 years and have two children.

Zoe, 21, is a junior at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. Grace, 15, is a freshman at

Terre Haute South High School. Jennifer also has a dog, Wrigley. When she is away from

work, Jennifer enjoys yard work, exercising, attending her daughter’s softball and golf

events, attending church, and spending time with her family and friends.
