Brain Teaser: Hand Tools
A Good Morning
My face in the mirror
Isn’t wrinkled or drawn.
My house isn’t dirty.
The cobwebs are gone.
My garden looks lovely
And so does my lawn.
I think I might never
Put my glasses back on.

Family Tradition
All of his life Ole had heard stories of an
amazing family tradition. It seems that his
father, grandfather and great-grandfather
had all been able to walk on water on their
21st birthday. On that day, they’d walk
across the lake to the boat club for their
first legal drink. So when Ole’s 21st birthday
came around, he and his pal Corky took
a boat out to the middle of the lake. Ole
stepped out of the boat and nearly drowned!
Corky just managed to pull him to safety.
Furious and confused, Ole went to see his
grandmother. Grandma, it’s my 21st birthday,
so why can’t I walk across the lake like my
father, his father, and his father before him?
Granny looked into Ole’s eyes and said,
Because, your father, grandfather and great
grandfather were born in January, you were
born in July.
Spring Cleaning
Tips, Tricks and the Ultimate Checklist
1. Where to start? Tidy Up
It is a marathon, not a sprint! Walk around your home and put
things back into the rooms they belong in.
2. Declutter Your Spaces
We like to declutter room by room. Choose a room and get to it! Have trash bags ready -
trash or donate? Put your donation bags in your car ASAP! Make sure you do this in every
room before you move on to the next step.
3. Dust
Now that your spaces are decluttered, it’s time to tackle the dust. Dust every hard surface.
4. Clean
This is where the magic happens. Open the windows. Blast some tunes! Strip the beds
and pop them in the washer. Start cleaning surfaces starting with the highest ones. Did you
know Niehaus Lumber in Vincennes has an extensive cleaning selection? Stop by and see
our most loved cleaning products!
5. Freshen UP
Whip out a good candle. Febreeze your fabric pieces & carpets. We hope these tips help
you get through your spring clean!

Crispy Chicken Wings
Ingredients
2 dozen chicken wings
Meat Church Holy Voodoo (sub The Gospel or Holy Gospel)
1/2 C corn starch
Optional sauces of your choice to toss the wings in at the end
(Frank’s Buffalo or Blues Hog BBQ)
The How To’s
Lay your wings on a wire rack. Lightly sprinkle with corn starch on both sides. Place the wings uncovered
in the refrigerator for 8 hours to allow the skin to dry out. This is easily done overnight. Prepare your grill at
a temperature of at least 375. It’s ok to go even higher such as 400 - 450. We prefer hickory, mesquite or
pecan for this cook.
Prepare your fryer at a temperature of 350. We prefer peanut oil as it has a high smoke point. Remove the
wings from the refrigerator. Season with Meat Church Holy Voodoo on all sides. Place the wings on the
grill. Using your Instant Read Thermometer grill until the wings are an internal temperature of 175 flipping
at least once during the cook. Remove from the grill. The wings should already be fairly crispy at this point,
but now it’s time to go next level crispiness. Place the wings in the frying oil for 3 minutes. Remove and
allow to cool. Toss the wings in your favorite sauces. You can either eat the wings at this stage after they
cook for a “saucy” wing or you can toss them back on the grill for a couple minute to tack up the sauce.
Enjoy!
