FAQs
Q. What is included in ‘all inclusive’?
A. Everything! Lane hire, ammunition, accommodation and all food.
Q. What is included in ‘shooting only’ packages?
A. As the name suggests ‘shooting only’ packages just cover the shooting. That includes lane
hire, rifle hire and ammunition. If you want food and accommodation you will either have to
organise that yourself or pay extra.
Q. Do I need to have any experience of shooting before I can attend?
A. No. Our beginner packages will teach you everything you need to know within an easy to
follow progressive framework.
Q. I don’t have a rifle or any equipment. Can I still join in?
A. Yes! We provide use of rifles and equipment within our ‘all inclusive’ packages.
Q. Can you accommodate special diets such as Gluten Free?
A. Yes, you just need to make us aware when booking.
Q. How do I book?
A. To register and book your place on the event simply go to the events booking page on our
website www.youngshooter.co.uk, select the event you wish to attend and follow the online
instructions.
Q. Can I do more than one discipline on a weekend?
A. No. Unfortunately due to restrictions on times of shooting this is not possible.
Q. Do you have to be a member to participate in BYSA events?
A. Yes.
Q. How much does it cost to become a member?
A. Individual membership costs just £10 per year.
Q. How do I become a member?
A. Simply visit the ‘membership’ page on our website www.youngshooter.co.uk, complete the
simple online application form and pay your membership. Congratulations you are now a pro-
bationary member!
Q. What is a probationary member?
A. As a Home Office Approved Club we have a legal obligation to ensure that all BYSA members
are safe and competent when using firearms. All new members are ‘probationary’ until the com-
mittee is satisfied that they are both competent and safe. At this point a safe shot card will be
issued confirming this and your membership will be upgraded to individual membership.
