If you have heard of each of them at least once, how well do
you know? In this context, we will analyses more details about
‘The Top 10 Smallest Countries Across the Globe, which You
Never Knew Existed’, in reference to ( BrightSide, 2021 ).
With more than 200 countries globally, there are various
states and territories on Earth which occupied super small
areas besides being inhabited with small population; i.e. just a
couple of families.

10. The Republic Of Palau
( Area : 459 sq.km. Population : 21 347 people )

An island country, consisting over 300 islands of different sizes, is
known as The Republic Of Palau. Undeniably, Palau is one of best
Earth’s nature creations, with its rain forests filled with varieties of
unique plants and birds. Moreover, in Palau, its territorial waters are
inhabited by approximately 130 threatened sharks’ species.
Furthermore, it is remarkable to witness its country’s lake which housed
over two million jellyfish in it. Fred not! These jellyfish have completely
lost their abilities to sting over the years.

9. Niue
( Area : 261.46 sq.km. Population : 1 190 people )

In Oceania, there is a tiny island, known as Niue. Ironically, although
Niue has truly spectacular and amazing views, its tourism is not
popular. Its country is greatly dependant on foreign aids, especially from
New Zealand . In addition, its capital is a small village with populations
of < 600 people. Despite its small populations, it has its own airport and
supermarket which; both, are the only ones of the whole stage.

8. Saint Kitts And Nevis
( Area : 261 Sq.km. Population : 52 325 people )

This state depends on economic citizenship program as one of its
major sources of income. With two island, which are Saint Kitts and
Nevis, its citizenship program allows any person with minimum of
$250,000 for investment purpose towards the local sugar industry ; thus,
obtaining their statuses as St.Kitts’ citizens. Moreover, there were
another method in obtaining the citizenship, which is to purchase any
property, worth approximately and at least equivalent to $400,000 or
more than this figure, on either island.

7. The Principality Of Hutt River
( Area : 75 sq.km. Population : 30 people )

A micronation located in one of the Australia’s similarly named
Province; can be known as The Principality Of Hutt River. Its founder the
well-known man , Leonard Casley, whom declared his farm to be a new
besides independent state. Ironically, although the country is not yet to
be recognised any state, it owned its currencies, stamps, and passports
etc. Tourist were attracted to view and admire the busts of His Royal
Highness Prince Leonard I of Hutt.

6. Tuvalu ( Area : 26 sq.km. Population : 10 959 people )

Globally, there were various small and poor countries. In this
context, it is Tuvalu which is among one of the poorest and the
smallest countries globally. If Tuvalu do not have the privilege
of internet domain television, its economic situation could have
been even worst and disastrous. The television contributes millions
of dollars for Tuvalu’s country budgets.

5. Nauru ( Area : 21 sq.km. Population : 9 591 people )

On Earth, it is interesting to know that the smallest island state is
known as Nauru. In addition, it is the smallest republic which stand
independantly. Without any official capital nor public transportation
system, its interesting to witness how this republic had 25 miles of its
roads, occupied and utilised by locals, whom owned their private
vehicles. As for tourism, this republic is unpopular among any tourists,
due to its severe environment problems. Besides environment
problems, obesity rates of the country is more than 70% which is also
another negative ‘record’ of its country.

4. The Principality Of Seborga
( Area : 4.91 sq.km. Population : 312 people )

A village of the same name, located a stone’s throw from the French
border, there is a micronation of The Principality Of Seborga. This
micronations is ruled by His Tremendousness Marcello I, on Italy’s
territory. In this micronation, there is an army which consists of three
people; made up by Minister of Defense and his two border guards.

3. The Republic Of Molossia (
Area : 0.055 sq.km. Population : 7 people )

There is a micronation, founded by Kevin Baugh, being known as the
self-proclaimed Republic Of Molossia in Nevada of The United States Of
America. Molossia has its own national anthem, emblem and flag
besides its small populations occupied by Mr Baugh and his family. Mr
Baugh also owned various pets; which consists of three dogs, one cat
and one rabbit. This republic also upholds strict rules and regulations;
for instance, death penalty for serious crimes. Lastly, it also issues its
own passports and has its own space program. Molossia celebrated its
fortieth anniversary in May 2018.

Malta is a tiny state which is situated on the territory Rome, other than
Vatican City. With two of its building located in Rome while another at
the Malta Island, this country owned its currencies, stamps, car number
plates, passport and websites etc. With its small area of 0.012 square
feet/kilometre, it is called as the Sovereign Military Order Of Malta.

1. The Principality Of Sealand
( Area : 0.004 sq.km. Population : 27 people )

Six miles away from the Great Britain’s coasts, there is Sealand, which
is an unrecognised state and a sea platform. It is governed by Prince
Regent, who he self-proclaimed himself as the ruler. Moreover, anyone
can become even a duke, baron or count in Sealand as anyone can
purchase a noble tilte by paying few hundred British pounds,
conveniently through its state’s websites.
