It’s the first day of school for little Jhonny.
5
On his way to school, his mother taught him the importance of
kindness and fairness.
6
His other taught him that people should treat others the way they
want to be treated. It’s the right thing to do.
7
Once Jhonny arrived at the school parking lot, he walked in the
school with one of his classmates.
8
“Good morning class,” said the teacher.
“I have assigned a sitting plan or you this year.” Jhonny had sat up
the front of the class because he needs glasses to see the board.
9
Jhonny got up to look at the sitting plan but all the other kids
rushed up, pushing him to the back unable to see the sitting plan.
10
When he finally got to see the sitting plan, he noticed that all the
front seats were taken by his classmates.
11
Jhonny took his seat all the way at the back of the class.
12
As time went by Jhonny struggled to read what was on the board.
13
Jhonny wondered why the teacher wouldn’t pick him to answer the
questions when he raised his hand.
14
At lunch, he would hang out with his friend Lee. jhonny told her
how much he wished to be sitting at the front with her.
15
The next day at school, Lee told Jhonny that she can seat at the back
so that Jhonny could sit at the front.
16
A couple of days went by, and Jhonny sat at the front of the class
and Lee sat at the back of the class.
17
Jhonny started feeling guilty that he had taken Lee’s spot, so he
came up with a fair plan.
18
He told Lee the plan, who agreed that the plan was fair.
19
Jhonny’s plan was that Lee and he would take turns to sit at the
front.
20
Jhonny told his mother about the plan he had come up with at
school.
21
His mother hugged him and was very proud that her son had created
a just and fair plan.
22
The next day, Jhonny was in class when he heard his teacher calling
out his name, “Jhonny”.
23
“Yes, ms.?” said Jhonny.
“I have noticed that you and Lee have been switching seats,” said his
teacher.
“Yes but we can stop,” said Jhonny.
24
“No, no need to stop,” said his teacher.
“I have something better, something that is fair for you both of
you,” said the teacher.
25
Jhonny was now able to see the board and answer questions thanks
to his teachers' fair decision, plus he was sitting beside his friend.
