Expressive Arts Challenge
‘Wildflower Threading Boards’
One thing I have noticed when I have been going my family walks
during the lockdown is all the lovely wildflowers in gardens and
grassy areas where we live. We have seen lots of dandelions,
butter cups and daisies.
This is the perfect activity for reusing extra pieces of cardboard
that you have around the house and getting your family out in the
fresh air to collect lots of dandelions.
Here is what you will need – Wildflowers, cardboard, sharp pencil
and scissors.
Cut the cardboard into different shapes.
Use the pencil to
puncture holes into
the cardboard
shapes.
Thread through the dandelions or any other
little flowers you find.
This hands-on shape activity is fun to make, so
pretty when finished, and feels lovely and soft
when you run your hand over the top of a
completed board.
