The old numbers/lines will expire soon, so please see the updated phone numbers in the Newsletter and update your contacts. Thank you for taking the time to update. We look forward to answering your call! Happy April to our Members! We’ve finally started to see some of our Spring Days with some warmer weather, longer days, and returning to more normal operations as we complete our projects. Thank you for your continued feedback; our Members are our eyes and ears and we appreciate it while we strive to enhance and uplift the Membership experience through our facilities, staff, and experiences. In March we enjoyed some social wine events with our Member Appreciation wine tasting from our wine vault up at Valley Kitchen, some nice bites from Chef, and some live music from local Santa Cruz musicians that kept the room and patio of almost 200 people entertained from start to finish! In conjunction with International Women’s Month, we were honored to have Cambria Wines, a Women-Owned Winery for a wonderful Wine & Cheese pairing. We even had a Wine-Industry Celebrity sighting, and the entire room enjoyed across the board! Thank you for being so supportive of Valley Kitchen! We have rolled out the new dinner menu and received many complimentary comments about it so far. Our top sellers include the Tuna Poke Tacos, which are served on a crispy wonton tortilla with Aji Amarillo aioli, cabbage, and scallions, in addition to the Spinach Cacio E Pepe with spaghetti, cream, black pepper, parmesan cheese, shaved egg yolk, and spinach puree. Other favorites include the Hokkaido Scallops with organic mushroom, English pea puree, buttermilk sauce, and bottarga, the Chicken Piccata, and of course the Braised Beef Cheek served with saffron risotto, braised tomato, parmesan, and parsley. Don’t miss our house bread, developed in conjunction with Lafayette bakery. Up next at Valley Kitchen, we’re working on new cocktails, a revised wine list featuring more Carmel Valley wines, and an enhanced dessert menu. More to come! We saw a lot of progress in our projects in March, with much more in store for April! We’ve had a little bit of a learning curve with the new locker rooms and spaces, working on the finer details now that they are open, so we appreciate your patience with that. I hope you enjoy the upgraded spaces, they’re a big improvement from what I briefly saw upon my arrival! We also opened the Family Pool and newly resurfaced Family Hot Tub. With the warm days, it’s been nice seeing the families and kids back in this area. We’ll have a couple of days when the crew will be here to paint the retaining walls but that will have minimal impact on the day-to-day operations. We’re on the home stretch with the firepits, new furniture, and children’s splash pad and wading pool. We’re looking at a weather dependent mid-April open date for these areas, and full completion of the project! More to come on that. We also added some new furniture and daybeds to our Spa Aiyana Pool, in addition to new outdoor furniture at the Valley Kitchen in preparation for the warmer weather and longer days. Be on the lookout for one of my favorites, Bingo, coming to the Clubhouse later this month. We’re looking forward to offering more regular and casual social activities. Cycle & Core with Natalie FITNESS PAGE 04 Thursdays 10:00am “Perfect for all levels and those who might be intimidated by a 50 minute spin class.” Cycle and Core is a combination of a 30-minute cycle class set to upbeat music, followed by 20 minutes off the bike for body weight core work. This is a great workout for anyone who would like to combine a cardio workout with core strengthening exercises. All levels are welcome!
