I hope to see you at River Ranch on May 18th for our Opening Day Party, try out our new Food Truck, and enjoy the day. Our Member Favorites Taco Tuesday and Pizza Nights are Back, and we’ve got some live music lined up to kick off the busy Memorial Day Weekend! Happy May to all of our Members! I think we’re finally past all of the rain, minus that fluke this past Saturday! The weather is warming up, and we’re proud to announce our projects at River Ranch are fully completed! I hope you have an opportunity to enjoy the new firepits and splash pad, which lights up at night by the way! The playground is installed and the team is putting the finishing touches on the landscaping on the surrounding areas. All of our new furniture was delivered this past month, and I’m glad we were able to upgrade the chairs with cushions and neck pillows.Thank you for your continued feedback and participation, we’re excited to work with you together to enhance the Membership experiences through our facilities, wonderful staff, and experiences. Speaking of staff, we’ve got a number of updates for you in the Newsletter so please take a look at that. We say congratulations with heartfelt thank you to Carlos Vallejo, our longseasoned Banquet Manager, who heads to our Flagship Hyatt Regency Chicago, and Harlan Spiva, our Sommelier and F&B Outlet Manager, promoted to Sommelier at Baha Mar in the Bahamas. We are excited to welcome Carly Shishido to lead the River Ranch Café in an exciting new direction this summer, Assistant Golf Professional Cameron Salkeld to our Golf Team, and promotions for long tenured Jose Lleras as our new Banquet Manager, and promotion of Cooper Essick to Assistant Golf Professional. Our teams are preparing for the busy summer ahead to maximize your enjoyment and elevated service levels. Please join me in congratulating our Team Members on these moves! I know they are excited to assist you. We’ve got a busy month ahead! We’re excited to see the return of our Pizza Nights and Taco Tuesday’s at River Ranch! Our first Pizza Night is on the 17th, followed by Taco Tuesday on the 21st, and Pizza Night again on the 31st. Please see the Newsletter and River Ranch for the specific offerings and timing. Secondly, we want to share our new River Ranch with you and your friends! Please join us for our River Ranch Opening Day party Saturday, May 18th. Each Membership may invite up to 4 guests complimentary to enjoy the new areas, enjoy some music, play some lawn games, and participate in some Tennis and Pickleball events! Also, our new Food Truck will be ready to serve you! Up next is Memorial Day Weekend, where we’ll have daily BBQ’s at River Ranch, games, music, and face painters for the kids. We hope to see everyone over our first Holiday Weekend for the summer. Not to be forgotten, (or missed!) is our next Wine Series Dinner, scheduled for June 1st. We should have this finalized soon, and we’ll have it out for your RSVP as soon as possible. Thank you for your Membership with us, and for being a part of our Ranch Family. Penelope Wasserman FITNESS PAGE 04 Please join us in Welcoming Penelope to our Fitness Team! We are excited to welcome Penelope to the Carmel Valley Ranch Fitness Instructor Team. Penelope recently moved here from Philadelphia and has been teaching Pilates since 2002. She quickly began specializing in osteoporosis management, with a focus on alignment, breathing, gait, and posture awareness has led her development of “Wonders of Walking” and “Bone Mobility Restorative Pilates” classes that will now be offered on our calendar, and her “Mat Pilates” classes are classically oriented. Penelope contributes to the Bone Heath and Osteoporosis Foundation and is a frequent presenter of dynamic movement solutions and somatic movements.
