CALL TO WORSHIP
Leader: God knows us and calls us by name.
People: The Lord comes in the silence and the noise;
in the calm and the chaos.
Leader: Always, God comes to us. God calls to us.
People: Let us now come to the Lord and call upon his name.
Let us worship together.
OPENING SONG
Hymn #291 Spirit, Spirit of Gentleness
Refrain:
Spirit, spirit of gentleness,
blow through the wilderness, calling and free.
Spirit, spirit of restlessness,
stir me from placidness,
wind, wind on the sea.
You moved on the waters;
you called to the deep;
then you coaxed up the mountains
from the valleys of sleep;
and over the eons
you called to each thing,
“Awake from your slumbers
and rise on your wings.” (Refrain)
You call from tomorrow;
you break ancient schemes;
from the bondage of sorrow
the captives dream dreams.
Our women see visions;
our men clear their eyes.
With bold new decisions
your people arise. (Refrain)
The Confession
CALL TO CONFESSION Pastor Greg Anderson
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God of love, you know us inside and out.
With you there is no point in hiding or pretending.
You invite us into your presence, and we come as we are.
We confess that we often forget to listen for your voice.
We hurry about with our eyes down, our minds, hearts and ears closed.
Please, God, do not stop speaking.
Forgive us when we have not listened to those who are lonely or in pain.
Teach us to be generous in our listening,
to be fully present alongside one another.
As we are, grant us the grace to speak with humility.
In your mercy, infuse our words with kindness, with wisdom, with love.
Through Christ, we pray.
Please continue in silent prayer for confession of personal matters.

The Word
WORD IN SONG Holy Spirit
by Bryan Torwalt & Katie Torwalt
There’s nothing worth more that will ever come close
No thing can compare, you’re our living hope
Your Presence Lord
I’ve tasted and seen of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free and my shame is undone
In Your Presence Lord
Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory God is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your Presence Lord
Let us become more aware of Your Presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

TIME OF REFLECTION Grace
by Jonathan McReynolds
I needed Your grace more
Than I thought I ever would
You forgave more
Than I thought You ever could
I was stronger in my head
But truth is
I need Your grace
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Pastor Greg Anderson
Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.

CLOSING SONG
Hymn #69 Here I Am, Lord
I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my people cry.
All who dwell in dark and sin
my hand will save.
I, who made the stars of night,
I will make their darkness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?
Refrain:
Here I am, Lord.
Is it I, Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
I, the Lord of wind and flame, Pastor Kellen Smith
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.
Finest bread I will provide
till their hearts be satisfied.
I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send?
(Refrain)
