ADESTE FIDELES (Wade)
arr. Dan Forrest

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels,
O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exaltation!
Sing, all ye citizens of heav’n above.
Glory to God, all glory in the highest.
Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning,
Jesus, to Thee be all glory giv’n!
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing!

WELCOME & GOOD NEWS Pastor Kellen Smith
CALL TO WORSHIP
Pastor: For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest
on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
People: His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with
fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.
The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make
this happen!

The Confession Pastor Kat Hatting
CALL TO CONFESSION
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God of Christmas, we come to you this evening with great expectations. Expectations
that your Son Jesus has been born, and that his life is a light for us and all people.
We come with expectations that he can transform our often mundane, ho-hum lives
into something different, something special. A life filled with faith, hope, and love.
But often, we forget. We forget the good work you began in us, and instead of focusing
on your coming, we focus on ourselves. We focus on gifts and parties and bonuses
and all the other trappings that come with this season. Lord, may we return our
expectations to your birth this night, trusting that you are our Messiah, our Savior.
In the name of Jesus we pray.
Please continue in silent prayer for confession of personal matters.
D ECLARATION OF GOD’S PARDON Pastor Kat Hatting
Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel.
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

arr. Lloyd Larson
Westminster Choir
All is well, all is well. Heaven and earth rejoice!
For tonight darkness fell into the dawn of love’s light.
Sing alle, sing alleluia!
All is well, all is well. Let there be peace on earth.
Sing, for Christ is come, go and tell that he is in the manger.
Sing alle, sing alleluia!
All is well, all is well. Lift up your voice and sing.
Born is now Emmanuel. Born is our Lord and Savior.
Sing alleluia! All is well.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Pastor Kat Hatting
Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
