The Confession

CALL TO CONFESSION Pastor Greg Anderson

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Lord, we confess that the road of life causes us to grow weary.
We don’t always think as we should, speak as we expect, and act as we intend.
We wrestle with the callings that you place upon our lives.
In your mercy, forgive us.
Help us to clearly see you working in our lives, families, and communities.
Grant us strength to work out our salvation each day,
with gratitude for your blessings, in Jesus’ name.

Please continue in silent prayer for confession of personal matters.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Pastor Greg Anderson

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Amen.

CLOSING SONG
Hymn #450 Be Thou My Vision

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
naught be all else to me, save that thou art;
thou my best thought, by day or by night,
waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true Word; Pastor Kellen Smith
I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord;
thou my soul’s shelter, and thou my high tower;
raise thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise;
thou, mine inheritance, now and always;
thou and thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my treasure thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
may I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
still be my vision, O Ruler of all.

BLESSING
