CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 100:1-5) Jordan Wach

Leader: Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

People: Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Leader: Know that the Lord is God.

People: It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to

him and praise his name.

All: For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues

through all generations.
Leader: Let us worship God now with our voices in song.

CONGREGATIONAL SONG Marvelous Light by Charlie Hall

Verse 1 I once was fatherless,

a stranger with no hope;

Your kindness wakened me,

Awakened me, from my sleep

Your love it beckons deeply,

a call to come and die.

By grace now I will come

And take this life, take Your life.

Pre Chorus Sin has lost it’s power,

death has lost it’s sting.

From the grave You’ve risen

VICTORIOUSLY!

Chorus Into marvelous light I’m running,
Out of darkness, out of shame.
By the cross you are the truth,
You are the life, you are the way

Verse 2 My dead heart now is beating,

My deepest stains now clean.

Your breath fills up my lungs.

Now I’m free. Now I’m free!

Lift my hands and spin around,

See the light that I have found.

Oh the marvelous light

Marvelous light

CONGREGATIONAL SONG Joy

Verse There’s beauty in my brokenness
I’ve got true love instead of pain
There’s freedom though you’ve captured me
I’ve got joy instead of mourning
Chorus
You give me joy
Down deep in my soul
Down deep in my soul
Down deep in my soul
Bridge
Repeat Chorus

Never been so free, caught in your love for me
Never been more secure knowing your heart Lord

The Word

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION Katie Mitchell (9:00)

Let us pray…

Dear Heavenly Father, We ask that you help us to clear out our daily distraction

and temptations to make room in our minds, hearts and lives to get closer to you.

Help us understand your word, process it deeply and follow it always. Amen

SCRIPTURE READING Luke: 9, 23 Charlie Mitchell (9:00)

Mason Carroll (10:30)

He said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and
take up their cross daily and follow me.”

WORD IN SONG Make Room by Community Music

Verse 1 Here is where I lay it down

Every burden, every crown

This is my surrender

This is my surrender

Here is where I lay it down

Every lie and every doubt

This is my surrender

Chorus And I will make room for You
To do whatever You want to
To do whatever You want to
I will make room for You
To do whatever You want to
To do whatever You want to

Bridge Shake up the ground of all my tradition

Break down the walls of all my religion

Your way is better

Your way is better

Ending Here is where I lay it down

Verse You are all I’m chasing now

This is my surrender

This is my surrender

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Maggie Lange

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

CLOSING SONG Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin

Verse 1 Oh, I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night
And you tell me that you’re pleased
And that I’m never alone

Chorus You’re a Good, Good Father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

Verse 2 Oh, and I’ve seen many searching for answers far and wide
But I know we’re all searching
For answers only you provide
‘Cause you know just what we need
Before we say a word
Bridge You are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways to us

Verse 3 Oh, it’s love so undeniable
I, I can hardly speak
Peace so unexplainable
I, I can hardly think
As you call me deeper still
As you call me deeper still
As you call me deeper still

Into love, love, love

BLESSING Emily Crum
