CALL TO WORSHIP
Pastor: The grace of God has dawned upon the world with healing for all people.
People: This is how the love of God is revealed to us.
Pastor: God has sent his only Son into the world so that we can live through him.
People: This is love.
Pastor: It is not that we loved God but that he loved us.
People: And sent his Son as the sacrifice that deals with our sins.

The Confession
CALL TO CONFESSION Ron Brushwyler
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty and Eternal God, measure not to us your goodness by the dullness of our
devotion. But, as your love transcends human affection, so may your hearing transcend
our prayer. We humbly confess our many sins and ask their full and free forgiveness,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Please continue in silent prayer for confession of personal matters.
DECLARATION OF GOD’S PARDON
Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel.
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
The Word
WORD IN SONG One King by Jeff Borders, Gayla Borders and Lowell Alexander
Sharon Urban, vocalist
Paul Burgess, piano
Kings of earth on a course unknown, bearing gifts from afar
Hoping praying, following yonder star
Silhouette of a caravan, painted against the sky
Wise men searching, for the Holy Child
(Refrain)
One king held the frankincense, one king held the myrrh
One king held the purest gold, one king held the hope of the world
A star hangs over Bethlehem, a journey ends in the night
Three kings trembling, behold the glorious sight
Heaven’s treasure Emmanuel, drawing men to bow down
Tiny baby born to wear a crown
God rest ye merry gentlemen, let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Savior was born on Christmas day
To save us all from Satan’s power when we were gone astray
Oh tiny baby born to wear a crown
One king held the purest gold
One King held the hope of the world

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.
