“We are only as strong as we are united, as
weak as we are divided.”
From the desk of the
Director-Principal
Hard work, unity and optimism are the keys
to a happy life and a bright future for
students. Accomplishment of any task
depends totally on the collective efforts of
the team members working conjointly. Each
edition of the LVISG Times magazine has
unfolded learners' creativity, thereby giving
life to their thoughts and aspirations.
The concluding edition of the magazine for the Academic Session 2021-22,
has once again bestowed the ingenious initiative of the team members.
I congratulate each member of the team for their commendable efforts in
bringing the year's publications to such a level of excellence.

SCHOOL! Navya Gera - IV Banyans
My school is like a flower,
Which gives me knowledge and
power.
The activities there are so much
fun,
And because of them I get to
learn.
There are many friends of mine.
And they help me enjoy my time.
My teachers and my friends adorn
my face with radiant smiles
They stay in my memory even if
I'm away a hundred miles.

“Don't tell people your dreams, show
them"
PANIC
Shuddering, shaking, struggling to breathe
The smile slowly fades and my knees feel weak
My entire body is giving in, I hear but don't register
what you say
My thoughts darkening with a spectrum of grays.
I know what to do-
Inhale- the scent of your weakness, the stench of your
broken mind
Exhale- all those things that make you true, beautiful
and kind
And I remember to count each time as well.
There're 5 things I can see
The monsters that haunt me,
The beauty and ease in letting go,
my own collapsed silhouettes, I could not control
A million hollow smiles, pretending to care
And those who think I'm a fake, their cold stare.
4 things I can touch,
Depression, slowly sucking away my soul
A tsunami of emotions, weighing me down
Anxiety, tightening it's grip around my neck
The comforting kiss of darkness, consuming me whole
3 things I can hear,
The demon feeding frightening thoughts in my ear
The vaguely familiar words of others asking me what's
wrong, thinking it's their attention I seek
My mind screaming a thousand replies, yet couldn't get
my lips to speak Arhan Attri - VIII Volga

And the water I can't seem to swallow but forced my
self to sip.
1 thing I can feel
Panic, but of course there's so many more.
But that word is ringing in my ears and that one feeling
is piercing my heart to the core
If I tell you, be sure to add in your supportive words
witty
"You're imagining it dear,
just stop pretending for our pity"

"You must find the place inside
yourself where nothing is impossible."
I found you
I put my tracking and hacking skills to the test, I spent a week trying to figure out your coordinates, and
it was worth it.
On monday night, I had packed my bag with everything I could possibly need and left home with a note
to dad and mom saying that I’d be back in a week.
I arrived at the coordinates in a day. I used my parent’s credit card to book the flight ticket. Sorry dad! I
promise it is for a good cause, I think….I hope. I waited at the designated place for 10 minutes. 15
minutes. 30 minutes. An hour. You were never late- ever! That’s when I noticed that in front of me was
a well- hidden trapdoor. I opened it. I climbed down into a dingy room with walls of grey cement. Four
people in black suits led me to a room, which they said belonged to the ‘boss’.
Our eyes locked. My heart skipped a beat. Time froze.
I saw you once more.
I found out that you used your knowledge to become an undercover detective and an agent- This had to
be a prank. It was straight out of a movie, and life was different.
I asked you if it was a prank.
You looked at me with your hazel eyes and you didn’t have to say anything-
It wasn’t a prank.
Apparently, you needed me to help you solve a case, using my hacking skills.
I was glad I was finally of some use to you, was willing to accept whatever format that came in.
We spent days that merged into nights, until we lost track of time in search of our suspects. You gave
me the sketchy details you had- and wanted me to dig up all I could about them. Where they lived, how
much ammunition they had. What were they planning next?
Trying to listen to what they say, tracking where they were, predicting their plans to destroy our
economy. I was sleep deprived, exhausted and my arms and legs hurt but I had finally cracked that they
were planning a heist on the world bank headquarters in DC.
Your room was a total mess, as were you!
Amidst the chaos of scattered guns, tracking equipment, empty cups of coffee and take away boxes we
sat on an uncomfortable rug in the corner of the room.
The smell of smoke and sweat was all over the room.
There were shelves that lined all four walls of the room, stacked with files and assorted paperwork.
I couldn’t be bothered. I was with you and that was all that mattered.
Your room was closed off to everyone, you have to know the password just to get in.
And I was the only one who knew the password, that alone made me feel special.
We worked; day and night. Silent as mice, but you were continuously asking me “Are you alright?” You
would see the fatigue in my eyes and gently rub my shoulders to relieve the stress or constantly feed me
my favorite candy to cheer me up. This was perfect, you and me all by ourselves, saving the world. Life
couldn’t get any better...until it wasn’t

“For even the very wise cannot see all
ends.”
How to Handle Exam Stress!
During Exams, students tend to overwork themselves, which ends in productivity slumps and students
might even feel bad during these times. Here’s how to handle the stress that may come with the
examination time!
1. Eat Properly - Nutrients play a bigger part in our body than we think! They help in various processes
that can easily help turn a productivity slump around and can help in boosting energy.
2. Sleep Well - We all skimp on sleep just to finish that last chapter, but we shouldn’t! Sleep is more
important to our body in these times in order to be well rested, retain knowledge better and energize
ourselves.
3. Exercise - Physical Activity, in any form be it a Sport, a Walk or a Zumba session can act as a great
recreational activity, that helps keep you fit. The release of numerous chemicals that work with the
receptors in your brain, energise you and can get you ready for your next bout of studying!
4. Use effective study methods - Sometimes we end up studying on end for a great amount of time and at
the end we feel drained of energy, which can cause us to be unproductive. For instance - The Pomodoro
Technique, is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. Where you
study for 25 minutes, take a 5 minute short break and repeat the cycle a few times before a longer break.
5. Positive Affirmations - We all feel a little down sometimes, and often in conjunction with exam times
our negative thoughts may be about our examinations! Try to calm yourself down, by doing whatever
calms you, reading, singing, dancing, listening to music whatever it may be and affirm yourself
positively, think of good things and get ready to do amazingly in your tests!
WE THANK ALL OUR READERS FOR STAYING WITH US THROUGH THIS AMAZING JOURNEY OF THE LVISG
TIMES, ALL THE BEST FOR THE UPCOMING TERM TESTS AND SEE YOU ALL NEXT SESSION!
