1) Welcome from SWS President, Tiffany Taylor Brief Introduction of Council Members
2) Executive Office Report from SWS Executive Officer, Barret Katuna
3) Tiffany to recap some of the work (e.g. Task Force on Inclusivity, Mentoring

Conversations) that we have been doing since the 2019 Winter Meeting in Denver
4) Committee Reports from any Committee Chairs in attendance who would like to report
5) Anti-Harassment Policy

• Tiffany and Barret have put together a policy that is based on SSSP’s Policy. We
thank SSSP in the Preamble to the SWS Statement.

• The Ombuds Committee provided a Code of Ethics. Members should consent to a
Code of Ethics when they renew membership or join SWS. We need some sort of
cultural joint statement that we will not tolerate harassment and it needs to be
intersectional.

• We have reengaged the Ombuds Task Force here for some assistance.
6) Votes to Amend the Bylaws on the 2019 Ballot; (language for the vote will be sent out to

membership before the Business Meeting and will be posted on the MemberClicks area
of our website)

a. Addition of 2nd Student Representative to Council
b. Separation of Committee on Discrimination and Academic Justice
7) Josephine to share information about the 2020 Winter Meeting in San Diego
