Infinitive คือ คำกริยารู ปปกติ หรือคำ
กริยาช่อง 1 ซึ่งแบ่งเป็ นสองประเภท คือ

1. Infinitive with to Infinitive with to คือ คำกริยา
ช่อง 1 ที่มี to นำหน้ า
หน้ าที่ของ Infinitive with to
1.ทำหน้ าที่เป็ นคำนามซึ่งเป็ นประธานของประโยค
2.ใช้ตามหลังคำกริยาแท้(Main Verb) โดยทำหน้ าที่
เป็ นกรรมของประโยค
3.ใช้ตามหลังคำคุณศั พท์ (Adjective) บางคำทำหน้ าที่
เป็ นเหมือนคำกริยาวิเศษณ์ (Adverb) เพื่อเป็ นการ
บอกเหตุผล
4.ใช้ตามหลังคำนามหรือสรรพนามโดยทำหน้ าที่เป็ น
เหมือนคำคุณศั พท์(Adjective)ขยายคำนามหรือ
สรรพนามนั้ น
5.ใช้แสดงเป้ าหมาย,วัตถุประสงค์หรือใช้ในการตอบ
คำถาม ‘Why?’

หลักการใช้ Infinitive with to

1.มักใช้ตามหลังคำกริยาเหล่านี้ ในโครงสร้าง Subject
+ Verb + Infinitive with to
2.คำกริยาบางตัวตามด้วยกรรมตรง (Direct Objects)
และ Infinitive with to ในโครงสร้าง Subject + Verb
+ Object + Infinitive with to
3.ใช้ตามหลังคำว่า ought (ควรจะ), get used (เคยชิน)
และ used (เคย)
4.ใช้ Verb to be + Infinitive with to (V.to be + V.1)
หรือ have + Infinitive with to (have to + V.1) ใน
ความหมายว่า ต้อง... เมื่อต้องการออกคำสั่งหรือขอร้อง
5.เมื่อทำเป็ นรู ปปฏิเสธ เพียงเติม not ข้างหน้ า to

ตำแหน่ งของ Infinitive with to
ในประโยคต่างๆ

1. ใช้ทำหน้ าที่เป็ นคำนามซึ่งเป็ นประธานของ
ประโยค โดยมีความหมายว่า “การ” หรือ “ความ”
2. ใช้ตามหลังคำนาม หรือ สรรพนาม โดยทำ
หน้ าที่คล้ายกับ Adjective ขยาย คำนาม หรือ
สรรพนามนั้นๆ เช่น
I told him about the plan to surprise her. (ฉัน
บอกเขาเกี่ยวกับแผนการที่จะทำให้เธอประหลาด
ใจ)
3. ใช้ตามหลัง Main verb (กริยาแท้) โดยทำ
หน้ าที่คล้ายกรรมของประโยค เช่น
I want to see him. (ฉันต้องการจะเจอเขา)
4. ใช้ตามหลัง Adjective บางตัว โดยทำหน้ าที่
คล้ายกับ Adverb เช่น
I’m happy to meet you again. (ฉันรู้สึกมีความ
สุ ขที่ได้ พบกับคุณอีกครั้ง)
5. ใช้ตามหลัง who, what, where, when, why,
how และ whether เช่น
I wonder why we don’t have money. (ฉันสงสัย

Infinitive without to คือคำกริยาช่อง 1 ที่ไม่มี to นำ
หน้ า มีหลักการใช้ดังนี้
1.ทำหน้ าที่เป็ นคำกริยาหลัก (Main Verb) โดยใช้ตาม
หลังกริยาช่วย (Auxiliary Verb) verb to do หรือ
Modal Verb (will, shall, would, should, can, could,
may, might, must)
2.ใช้ตามหลังคำกริยาอื่น ๆ ทั่วไปหรือเรียกว่า
Special Verb ที่มีกรรมตรง (Direct Object) และคำ
