Print page 2
and follow these instructions.
You will need:
a few coins (2 dimes or nickels for each character)
double sided tape
template printed on plain paper (not heavy-weight)
Place shape A printed side down and attach coins
right at the bottom of the shape with double-sided tape.
Use dimes for the circus girl and heavier nickels for
the elephant.
Attach coins on shape B as well and cover the pink area
with double-sided tape.
(This area is marked on the template.)
Now attach shape B to the back of shape A.
The coins should face each other between the papers.
Now fold shape C (little rectangle) in half and
using double-sided tape, attach between the coins
as in the photo. The fold line aligns with the upper
end of the coins.
Now your circus characters will stand up on their own.
Place them on a string and see how they balance!
(*Adjust the coins or bend the paper if necessary.
You many need to reposition the small piece C
if it doesn’t stand up as you want.)
