1. Data and its processing
a. What is data?
“raw and unorganised facts collected and stored together in
various formats e.g. texts, numbers, figures, animation and
videos.”
b. Source of data: “the primary location from where data comes”
c. Information: “the product of data processing.”
d. Data processing
■ Data processing: “the conversion of data into usable and
desired form (called information)”.
■ for example: Grading System
2. Database
a. What is database?
■ “an organized collection of data, generally stored and
accessed electronically from a computer system.”

■ “system software for creating and managing databases.”
