Message from the Principal
Dear Grade 6 students,
I hope that this message finds you safe and well. I am pleased that I can take this opportunity
to write to you that I hope it can be something useful for you. It will become a reflection for
yourselves when you leave Taman Rama Primary School to continue your education to a higher
level.
My dear students, the Academic Year 2020/2021 is very special. Before, we would never have
imagined that you would not be able to go to school, but that's what has happened. You have to
learn from home, I'm sure you miss joking and playing with your classmates in the school and to
hear firsthand the words of your teachers.
My children, don't be sad or disappointed with this situation. In fact, behind all the difficulties
that occurred due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are positive things that we can learn from. First,
this situation makes you ready for the industrial era 4.0, which is marked by the use of technology
in all aspects of life. Secondly, this calamity brings you closer to your parents because they have
more time to accompany you at home, and thirdly, it directly trains you to find out something
independently.
Although the situation is not normal yet, we are grateful that we could prepare this small booklet
as we have planned. We compiled this booklet, hoping that it will remind you of your memories with
your classmates, teachers, and schools at Taman Rama Primary School.
Dear parents, thank you for entrusting your children's education
at Taman Rama Primary School. Even though we have lost time
assisting your children in learning face-to-face and helping their
development for almost one and a half years, you still support us.
My dear Grade 6 students, lastly, I hope that the education and
knowledge that you've attained in Taman Rama Primary School can
prepare you to continue to Junior High School and be able to interact in
a broader social environment.
Best regards,
Ms Ketut Santini,
Primary School Principal

Notes
from students
When I first got the news that I was going to continue learning
online, I felt excited and happy. As time went by, I realized it
wasn't completely a pleasant experience. It was tiring being in
front of my laptop 24/7 but I managed to get through it all. It was
difficult not seeing my Teachers and Friends face to face, and not
Gabriella Karnadi being able to ask for help whenever I wanted.
However, I think that made me an independent student, and I'm proud of that. All of
us are going to graduate. We're not in elementary school anymore; we're turning into
junior high students. I want to say thank you to my friends who made good memories
with me. Thank You to my teachers, who have helped me go through online learning
with ease and who have helped me every time I needed it. Thank You to each and
every one of you who played a great role in my life, and will always do so.
I came to Taman Rama School in 1st grade and I didn’t have any friends at that time. I
was scared to make friends and I would cry every day in school. Time flew so fast that
now I am in 6th grade and about to graduate. SD Taman Rama School is like my
second home: it is the place where I met my friends for the first time, the place where
I learnt how to be a better person, a place that I will never be forget. These last few
semesters we have been learning online, I’m sad that we couldn’t spend our last
moments of being elementary school kids together at school.
I miss the school atmosphere so much and I hope that before
I go to Junior High School I can meet my friends and teacher
in the SD building. I want to say thank you to all the teachers
who have teach me for this past 6 years and also want to
thank all my friends for making great memories with me. Nadina Pramita Putra

I could be more focused. It was
like at school. My favourite DE NPASAR, 29 DESE

because I like to participate. It
was like being in the classroom

working online was the
organization of my homework.
We have so many subjects that it
is sometimes confusing.
Thankfully my parents helped
remind me of the deadlines of my
homework and tests. I learnt to
control my emotions when the
connection to the internet was
terrible. My computer skills also
get better because I practiced
every day. I am excited to return
to school to play with my friends

found most challenging. To
overcome this, I used cellular data
or changed devices. The global
pandemic made me so bored, but
the positive side is that I learned a

Felice TSAu, 3r0yMaAaRtEmT 2a0d0 9ja I enjoyed Science the most

GS I NaGbArPiOeRlEla, 2 Karnadi0 J U N I 2 0 0 9 I remember the time when I thought
online school would be an exciting new

difficulties, like not asking questions
whenever I wanted and staying in front
of my laptop for hours, this new way of
learning made me independent. I used to
ask my friends the answers if I was
having trouble with a question, but now I
have to do it independently. I learned
that you shouldn't depend on others so
much, and you should start doing it
yourself. Online learning is stressful, but
it's not much of a problem if you hang in
there.
I want to go back to a regular school, but
I don't think that's going to be possible

My understanding of online
learning is puzzling. I can't describe it with just one or two words. The
best way I would describe it is that you won't understand until you try it
yourself. Throughout this whole experience, I have to thank my teachers
for helping me, and not only me but all students through this tough time
and providing us with the best education. Thank you for being patient
with us and helping us with our studies. I really can't thank you enough.
The experience I felt was not bad but not good either. The bad part I felt
through this experience was the understanding of the material. The
material was much harder to grasp this time around, and our studies
were sometimes put on hold or stopped because of a technical issue
that would not have occurred if we studied face-to-face. The good part
about this experience was that I was given a lot of freedom for my
studies which were very nice. I was able to choose how I wanted to
study. Unlike at school, where they try to educate us by putting us in a
specific mould that might not fit everyone, online studies gave me the
freedom to choose how I wanted to study.
Furthermore, I was able to focus on my hobbies more, not that I had
many in the first place, but it was still very nice to have free time to use
however I wanted. To conclude, this whole experience was something I
would not trade, which I am very grateful for, but I would not choose it
over the face -to -face studying. I want to go back to studying without a
screen in between me and my teachers and friends. My message to
everyone is that please hang in there, and we will sooner or later get
back to our daily lives and school lives.

learning was also good because I
liked the new ways of learning. For
example, we use Zoom and Google

bother going to school. There was
one thing that was challenging for
me while online learning, "the

the internet was terrible, so I

the world and I have attended school online due to the
worldwide pandemic known as COVID-19. Online learning isn't
the easiest way of learning. Sometimes I happened to find it
quite challenging. Despite it being hard, I did like some
things about online learning.
For example, I didn't need to wake up at 6 a.m. anymore. I
could wake up at 7:30 a.m. because school starts at eight
(30 min is enough for me to prepare for school). I also saved
time because it took a long drive to go to school. However, as
I said, there were challenges. Because of online learning, I
didn't get to meet my friends and teachers. I spent more and
more time on the computer, and because of that, I
sometimes got headaches. I overcame these challenges by
planning little meetings with my friends, playing outside,
practicing skateboarding, or reading when I had recess or
after school. I learned a few things about myself; for
example, I am good at skateboarding. I also learned some
important life lessons always to do my best and be
independent.
Online learning is sometimes fun, but I am excited to go back
to school, see my classmates, friends, and teachers who
have guided me through this online learning journey.
Ni Made Nadia PT ErMaBwE Rir2a0 0 Putri I enjoyed how we didn't need to take

more interesting online because most

What I found challenging about
online learning was being
distracted by my surroundings. I
overcame being distracted by really
focusing on the zoom and not
thinking about anything else. I
learned that we need to focus on
our studies because if we didn't do
that, we wouldn't know what our
teacher was talking about, then we
would get a lousy grade. I also
learned that we need to be
confident enough to answer

important to ask your teacher when

that I am not alone - I have my
family. After school, I usually
talked or played with my sister.
When I return to school, I am
most excited to see my teachers
and friends. I can’t wait to go
back to school!

1.there aren’t too much
tasks
2.there aren’t too many
zoom classes
3.the lesson time is not
too long.
4.the task aren’t too

I didn’t like online learning
because sometimes my internet
was bad.
I didn’t like online learning
because we couldn’t study
together in school and play with
our friends. I didn’t like online
learning because sometimes I
couldn’t understand and
because it wasn’t fun.

I didn’t really like online
learning. Sometimes I found it
difficult and sometimes I
found it.
I enjoyed sports class the most
because it was fun and I easily
understood it.
The most challenging part was
when I couldn’t send some
homework for weeks.
I learnt that I need someone
else to help me rather than by
myself.

last time because some of us
are going to another school for
junior high.

Vienna Karen YapM E D A N , 2 9 A G U S T U S 2 0 0 9 The thing I enjoyed the most
about online classes was doing
the test on Google Forms
because I didn't have to write.
Doing homework was a little
challenging for me because I
still couldn't do my
assignments on time. By
motivating myself, I overcame
these challenge. I have to be
careful in my work and be
more disciplined. What I
learned was to be happy and
respect people. I am excited to
meet my friends when I return
to school. That was my
experience with my online
schools.
It was a different feeling studying Rehan Emerald Fariel MitraDENPASAR,
at home on Zoom. The lessons were 24 FEBRUARI Nielle Ramos
difficult to understand when 2009
learning online, and I had to study
harder to understand the work. I
had to adapt to this situation so I
could learn as normal. I knew that
we could study online from
anywhere and everywhere and not
give up under any circumstance. I
want to meet my friends and
teachers when I return to school. I
also want to buy the food from the
canteen.
