I was at home and wanted to talk to my
neighbour over the fence, so I put
a chair near the fence so I could stand
on it and see over. While I was leaning

sure I was okay, but I let my mum talk to

When we were learning French at school the
teacher asked us what we thought the word
for “ball” was in French. Everyone was guessing
words and yelling them out to the teacher and
I shouted out, “bra”. I quickly put my hand
over my mouth but it was too late. Everyone
had heard me and started laughing and
I could feel my face turning bright red.
Even my teacher couldn’t help but laugh.
It was terrible and to this day I don’t know

started her career as a cast member on
Dance Moms when she was 10-years-old. She
featured on the show for three years before
she was cut from the team for being too tall.
“My height was really hard for me growing
up,” shared Ava. “I was really, really tall. In the
business I was in, and even just being in school,
I was made fun of and it was really difficult.” In
fact, not only did Ava lose her job on Dance
Moms for being too tall, but her height also
stopped her from being chosen for other
opportunities. “I would get told no in so many
dance auditions, and a lot of the times
