lovely cookie mix jar for her, so you can
spend some time together in the kitchen
































Cut out!

Stick this and the opposite page
onto thin card,
then cut out the
instructions and
roll them up like a
scroll. Use pretty
ribbon to attach it
to the jar’s lid. Write
a cute message for
mom on the picture,
then cut it out and
stick it on the front
of the jar!

You will need:
MoM IS goIng
to Be So
SurprISeD! Mason jar with a closing lid,
110g wheat flour, ½ teaspoon
baking powder, pinch of salt,
75g brown sugar, 75g white
sugar, 1 packet vanilla sugar,
65g oatmeal and Smarties.

You will also need:


100g soft butter and 1 egg



Layer all the dry
What to do: ingredients in the jar.

Do not shake!
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180°C
and cover a baking tray with greased baking paper.

2. Pour the contents of the jar into a mixing bowl.


3. Add in the butter and egg, then mix to form a dough.
4. Form balls from the dough and press
them down onto the baking tray,
so they form round discs.


5. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15
minutes (until they are golden
brown).

6. Let them cool, then eat
them together at a mom and
daughter’s tea party!

If you collect your Barbie Magazines,

you may battle to keep them neat.

Here’s a great way to tidy up and
make your room look fab!






You will need:
Step 1

Empty cereal box

Scissors
Paint
Packaging tape

Ruler
Pencil







What to do:



1. Take your empty cereal box and neatly cut off the
top flaps
2. Use your pencil and ruler to mark a cut out section
onto your box (as shown), then cut out neatly
along the lines.
3. Paint the box whichever colour suits your room, then
allow to dry.

4. Use packaging tape to seal the bottom of the box
(to make sure the magazines don’t fall out).
5. Cut out the design elements on the opposite page
and use them to decorate your magazine holder.
You could even use glitter or sequins to make it
26 extra sparkly!

Narwhal



Called the ‘unicorn of the sea’, the narwhal is a
majestic sea creature with a spiral ‘horn’ on its top lip
(which is actually a really big tooth). No one quite
knows what it is for, but what they do know is that it’s
not hard like regular tusks, but rather spongy.




Polar bear


They are the largest carnivores on Earth, weighing in at just
under 700kg! Their fave meal is seals and they are excellent
at catching them – they wait at the entrance of seal breathing
holes (gaps in the ice where seals come up to breathe) and
grab them when they come up for air!



Harp seal
Snowshoe hare

Harp seals get their name
because of the harp-shaped These beautiful creatures are
marking on their backs. They snowy white in winter, but when
spend most of their time in the summer comes their fur turns
brown. Their feet are really big,
icy water, but are well adapted which helps them walk on the
to it, having a very thick coat and layer of snow. They have up to eight
blubber (fat under the skin). They can stay babies (called leverets) per
