Hi guys,
Happy New Year! I'm so excited for 2018. When school goes
back I will be in year four and I also have another 12 issues of
It GiRL to look forward to. What things are you excited for this
year? I'm also really enjoying my summer holidays. Christmas
was a lot of fun, I've been hanging out by the pool a lot and
I also got to see lots of cool movies such as Coco and
Paddington 2. Being on school holidays meant that I had
more time to spend working on this issue of It GiRL and I've
had a lot of fun doing it. I sat down with Tash and told her all
the celebs I thought we should do posters of in this issue, and I
also worked with her to choose a theme for this year's pull-out
wall calendar - I thought unicorns would be really cute and

I was at my friend’s slumber party and
we were telling scary stories at two in
the morning. I was in the middle of telling
a story when I started to fall asleep.
My friends said that they shook me,
yelled in my ear and even shined a torch
in my face to try and wake me up, but I
just kept sleeping. The next morning they
teased me all through breakfast and
now they call me Lachy, as in the purple
Wiggle who always falls asleep from the
kid’s group, The Wiggles. I’m never going

Born in Mission Viejo, California, USA, Emily
started acting when she was seven years old.
“I had never been interested in participating
in sports, so my mum signed me up for acting
classes because I was really interested in
taking one,” explained Emily. “She thought it
would be a good extracurricular activity for
me.” Although she was shy when she was
a kid, Emily had confidence when it came to
acting. “I was very shy when I was younger,
but I loved acting class! Somehow, when
I played characters that weren’t myself, my
shyness would just disappear.” Emily’s acting
teacher spotted a real talent in her student
and suggested to Emily’s parents that they
find her an agent, which they did. Then th
rest, as they say, is history!

Emily has had a lot of different roles in
television shows and movies, but knew
she wanted to be on Disney Channel’s
Andi Mack no matter what. “The
characters were so relatable,” Emily said.
“And the storyline was so interesting. I
started with auditioning for Andi and I got
pretty close. And then I auditioned for
Buffy, and I got closer. And finally after
that I auditioned for Amber,” she recalls.
“I was just excited to have any part on
the show. I didn’t even know there was
an Amber and when I saw that I thought, The cast of
