Can you figure out what happened?


Kelly initially blamed James for wrecking the fort.
She knew he wanted to prove that he didn’t need it

to keep him safe during a snowball fight. But James

explained that he couldn’t have done it: He wasn’t

allowed to leave his house during the blizzard, either,
and when he arrived to Kelly’s house the next day,

the fort had already been knocked to the ground.

Kelly then turned to her dad. He made it clear

that he disliked the massive fort. But even though
Kelly’s dad wasn’t thrilled about the fort in the front

yard, he would never destroy it! So who did?

After taking a moment to think, Kelly and her dad
figured out the fort collapsed due to all the snow

they got during the blizzard. Remember: Kelly didn’t

even look out the window during the storm, so she
wouldn’t have noticed the fort giving in under the

snow’s weight. The fort may have been big, but it

was no match for a blizzard! Once they realized

what had happened, Kelly decided to spend the day

building a new fort ... but in the backyard this time!
