Hi Moriah! We love that your channel is
filled with squishy makeovers, tell us
how it all began.
I started doing squishy makeovers after buying
some cheap squishies online. There were a lot
of imperfections and the colours were boring.
I decided to fix them up to make them a little

more interesting!

What has been your most challenging
makeover so far and why?
My giant ice cream sundae squishy is the
biggest, most complicated squishy I’ve ever
created. It took me a full week to complete
and combined 10 different squishies!

Sounds crazy! What about your favourite makeover?
I recently did an under the sea themed squishy cake. It had a
bear head on top originally that I turned into a baby seal. I cut
up a doughnut squishy to create seashells and used the tops of
pineapple squishies to make seaweed. It took a lot of time, but I
was happy with the look.

We get tips from the colour-obsessed Hi Kat! From sweet hobby to

love for baking begin?
I developed my love for baking
at a young age under the
guidance of my talented German
grandmother, Liselotte, who
would always have a freshly

Nicola’s 5
drawing tips Make Y

1. START LOOSE.
Begin from the outside,
loosely with the body, our
and get the attitude of
the pose before you add
details. It will be more
interesting and dynamic. Winter
The details are the fun
stuff; leave them till
the end.

2. FINISH WHAT YOU
START. Even if you’re a
bit frustrated, always
try and finish it. A lot of
young artists have sketch
pads full of scribbles,
but few finished pieces.
Try to do something with
your drawings.

3. DRAW FROM LIFE.
A great book or those
mannequins you can pose
still don’t give you a sense
of the body’s centre of
gravity. In real life, you can
walk 360 degrees around
a pose to understand
what a body is doing.

4. EXPERIMENT with
different kinds of tools;
on different kinds of
paper; and digitally. I also
try to find something
new in my art style to
keep it interesting.

5. SHOW YOUR
WORK and be open
to advice from people
who know what
they’re talking about.
Listen to people
with experience.
