Mega Food Parks is an ambitious scheme of Backward Linkages : Abundant availability of raw materials
Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Forward Linkages : Better access to customers, technology
Government of India aimed at establishing“direct and information
linkages from the farm to processing and on to
the consumer markets”, through a vast network
of collection centres and Primary Processing
Centres/ These Mega Food Parks are expected to
provide high quality integrated food processing
infrastructure near the farms, comprising
central processing units supported by a cluster
of primary production & collection centres
to ensure :









i. 35% of gross fixed assets subject to a maximum of Rs.5.00 crorers under SAMPADA Scheme of
Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India.

ii. 30% of gross fixed assets subject to a maximum of Rs.0.50 crores under Package Scheme of
Incentives (PSI) of Government of Maharashtra.
