When such surveillance measures are taken, the national
coordination centre shall be notified accordingly. The national
coordination centre shall coordinate any support given in
accordance with Article 5(3).

The MS concerned shall, in addition to the measures taken when a
medium impact level is attributed to an external border section,
ensure, through the NCC, that the national authorities operating
at that border section are given the necessary support and that
reinforced surveillance measures are taken. That MS may request
support from the Agency subject to the conditions for initiating
joint operations or rapid interventions, as laid down in Regulation
(EC) No 2007/2004.

Member State or of a country with which agreements or regional
networks, as referred to in Articles 19 and 20, of the EUROSUR
Regulation are in place, the national coordination centre shall

Member State or the competent authority of the neighbouring
country and shall endeavour to coordinate the necessary
crossborder measures.

-GNR provides a LO for internal coordination of the activities at
sea.

The CNCM is working in monthly meetings among all the authorities
with the LO and can be activated in case of an emergency or critical
situation. This Centre can be placed in the authority responsible in
reason of the subject / competence.

The legal base of the mechanism is based on the EUROSUR Regulatory
Regulation, the organic law of each authority (where is established Decree nr.

reaction capability. This cooperation is also under the EUROSUR
Regulation.

10. The national coordination centres of neighbouring Member States

surveillance systems and the integration of these systems in the

There is a GNR Liaison Officer GNR in the National Security Office
where is established the Point of Contact for the EUROPOL and other
European cooperation.
The cooperation with other European agencies (ex. EMSA, EUSATCEN)
is established through FRONTEX who is the single point of contact for
the subject related to EUROSUR.

“Neighbouring third country” means a third country which has either
a land or sea border or a common sea basin with a Member State.

Implementing a regional network for the exchange of information
and cooperation in the area of the Mediterranean Sea, including the
MS of the south of EU and the TC on the north of Africa - Seahorse
Mediterranean (SHM).
This regional network is established in the administrative area of the
NCC. The working station of the SHM is operated by the NCC
EUROSUR Operator in order to have the full situational picture.
GNR has a LO deployed in Third Country Morocco and another LO on
the BCP Algeciras.
The exchange of sensitive information can be under the EUROSUR
Communication Network (is under a process of accreditation) and the
