Project Brief: Futuristic character, materials used, air dry clay,
wire armature, acrylic and fabric paint, nail file and carve
tool, size of the figure 9 inches tall.
Sketching the style and colours of the clothes in digital
drawing applications (“Procreate, Infinite painter, Pret-a-
Template").

Final version, made the machete from a sculpting tool.

Stop motion clay animation, digital media workshop project.
Made the characters from polymer clay, used wire armature
to move the figures between frames, used “VLLO” stop
motion application, for the background I used a painted
carboard, black paper to look like rocks, I printed a paper in
blue colour, but the printer ran out of ink and it made the
colours in a gradient way, which was a cool effect for what I
was trying to do, the time between each frame was between
1 second and 2 seconds, used sound effects from the
application and my own voice recordings, there was a total of
40 photos taken, used “Procreate” drawing application to

align the pictures and add extra effects like the water
splashes around the shark.

Wanted to do a mythological creature, being inspired from
monster creator “Ray Harryhausen” :(1920-2013), American
artist, designer and visual effects creator, and his movies, like

“Clash of the Titans”-1981, so I decided to do “Medusa”
mythical Greek figure.

Materials used: Monster Clay (oil-based clay), aluminium
wire, round plastic lid for the base.

Trying different head sculpts to get the result I want.

Work in progress, as far as I got with this one.
Screen printing Workshop: different screen-printing
techniques.
Materials used: oil paint, acrylic, plastic flat surfaces,
textured surfaces, paint roller, watercolour paper, aluminium
foil, pencils, strings, fruits and vegetables.

Final piece: Superhero Character, Inspiration from comic
books, cartoons, movies (“Blade Runner”-1982, “Dark City”-
1998).

Materials used: Monster Clay (oil-based clay), aluminium
wire, plastic lid for the base (air dry clay and wall filler to
make it heavier), acrylic paint, paint extraction for base coat
of paint, the size is around 11 and a half inches tall (that is
because of the position he is in, if he was standing straight, it
would probably be around 13-14 inches tall), fabric neon
green paint for the patterns on the suit and his powers.

Finishing the paint, I was super pleased with how it turned
out, I still wanted to add some extra effects, I used dark
washes to dirty the armour, some of the clothes, different
shapes on the body, for the stand I layered in gloss silver
paint, made cracks on the base, used washes and dry
brushing to give the effect of cracking stone, marble.

Final version/ variation, very pleased with the result, was
super fun, I definitely want to do more sculptures, toys,
statues in the future.

This will be my final piece, I had fun doing it and I look
forward to doing more interesting works.

Time it took to make it around 6 days, working a couple of
hours a day, total time was around 20-28 hours, materials
used, aluminium wire, plastic lid, Monster Clay (oil-based
clay), air dry clay and wall filler for the base, a couple of
sculpting tools (mostly used to break pieces of clay), digital
media drawing application “Procreate”.

Doing a poster of my hero in a dystopic city landscape, using
“Procreate” drawing application, used mostly texture brushes
to give a surreal atmosphere effect.
Inspiration for this world are the paintings of “Zdzislav
Beksinsky”, polish architect, photographer and painter, he
described himself as “A photographer of dreams”.

Dystopian world poster for my Hero, part of my final piece.

Thinking of a name for my character to complete the poster.

3D Printing: after rediscovering my passion for toys and
sculpture, I want to learn more about 3D printing.

I did a technical workshop for printing, used digital sculpting
application “Nomad Sculpt”, I wanted to do a Skull/ mask,
inspiration from Samurai Japanese masks, Oni masks, also a
reminder of the constant passing of time and that nothing
lasts forever, from Latin “Memento Mori-Remember you
must die”.

Model ready for 3D printing.

I managed to get it 3D printed thanks to Anna Kakovka, the
universities 3D Technician, and thanks to her tutorial on 3d
printing it made me quite interested to try it out.

Printed Final product, used “Nomad Sculpt” to model the file,
PLA plastic for the printer, “Ultimaker Extended 2” 3D
printer, printing time was around 5 hours and it’s about 5
inches tall at the highest point.

Shots of the printing patterns on the mask, I think they look
quite cool especially when the light hits it in a certain
position, was amazed with the result, I will definitely try it
again.
