How To Prepare for CBSE Exams Class 12 Humanities
Stream

Humanities can be a very scoring stream if the preparation is done in
the right way. Here are some steps for preparation:

Step 1- Know Your Syllabus.
Before starting any preparations, the student must know about the
entire syllabus of all the subjects as he/she can easily evaluate the
important topics of those subjects. As now the syllabus is divided
into Term 1 and Term 2. You should have a clear strategy and plan to
cover both the terms.

Suggestion: Don’t wait for Term 1 to get over and then you will start
your prep for Term 2. Start the preparation for Term 2
simultaneously.

Step 2- Plan and Execute your course well. Start Early.

Make a Study plan
One must make the study plan according to your schedule. You
should be striving to stick to your study plan whatever the situation
may be. Discipline is the key to success.

Suggestion: Keep a day off in a week. This will enable you to relax.

Start preparation early
Student must start their preparation as soon as possible so they can
understand the concepts in depth and also cover the syllabus
properly.

Be specific
If the student is preparing for the topics, then he/she must be
specific for that, like they should focus on that particular topic only
and cover previous year questions then and there itself.

Step 3- Practise Practise and Practise.

Solve more question papers
After completing all the syllabus, students must practise and solve
the different question papers as it will make the student more
confident and also they get the idea of the question paper in exam.

Here are some tips which the students can follow in order to do good
preparation for the exams:

While reading the books or going through any of the subjects,
one must note down the important facts as they become
important in solving MCQs and are required in long answer
questions also.

Also practice sample papers for better understanding of the
subject and the type of questions especially with nearing of the
exams.

If the student is not familiar with the particular places or names
mentioned in the book, then they can look it up on the internet
for better understanding.

Geography includes certain maps, then one must practise
drawing maps as it is really important for the exams.

For class 12th, it is important to do the NCERT textbook first as
it contains all the topics mentioned in the syllabus and also
important for the exam point of view.

It is very important to connect the concepts you learn in your
books with the world around you. By doing this, you will have
multiple benefits i.e., you will be able to grasp the topics really
well, you will be able to retain the concepts and such like. This
is education in a true sense.

If the students prepare well for the class 12th examination, then it
will help them for the upcoming exams like NIFT, JNUEE, and other
exams related to the humanities stream.
