SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO BALBIRNIE!

Welcome to the very first edition of The Balbirnie Bush Telegraph to be published via AnyFlip!
When we first published a newsletter back in the early 1990s it was a task that took us months.
Professional photography, formatting by Inglis Allen printers in Kirkcaldy, and 5,000 paper copies!
Many copies sent out in the post with handwritten addressed envelopes, others collected by guests from our
front desk.
Fast forward to today, and links to digitalised copies are sent out each month to 25,000 friends via E:Blast.
Plus to a further 50,000 source audience via our social media channels.
Three decades of evolution in hospitality in a quick snapshot of progress!
Technology has certainly changed, but the core of hospitality has not.
If anything, I’d say that the ease of technology is enabling us to focus even more than ever before, on our
warmth of welcome of Scotland hospitality.
And onwards we go.
This month we become the first hotel ever, to enable guests to book two or three night formatted packages
direct, with different dining offers on each night.
Necessity is the mother of invention!

FESTIVE TASTING MENU

This holiday season dine in style with your friends and enjoy
our truly scrumptious food! Our delicious new FESTIVE tasting
menu will run from the 2nd until the 30th of December in the
same menu format as before.

Our executive chef Kris Currie and his team have assembled a
lovely new Christmas inspired seasonal menu to tantalise your
taste buds. It is such wonderful value, at £35 per person. We
also have a delightful wine flight that is the perfect
accompaniment to the delicious meal at £26 per person. Our
wines have been specifically selected to add that extra wow
factor to your dining experience!

there’s going to be an endeavour to deliver a three-in-a-row
Ironman Austria hat-trick, if successful this will be the first ever
finish in the age group 55 – 59 for Glenrothes Triathlon Club.

HOGMANAY BALL

Welcome 2022 in style with your nearest and dearest! This is certainly
something to look forward to... our Grand Hogmanay Ball!

Guests will be welcomed to our glamorous event with a Champagne reception
and delicious canapés that shall be served at 7pm in our Long Gallery and
Drawing rooms. Following the Champagne reception guest will go to the
Ballroom to enjoy our sumptuous 5 course gala meal. For music, we are
delighted to welcome to Balbirnie for this year the fabulous "Velour Amour" band
- with a super mix of both popular ceilidh tracks and modern music.

A glass of champagne and our Scottish piper will welcome in the New Year, with
then more dancing and concluding with a further measure of aplomb at 2am,
with Scotch Pies served on departure, and for those who wish- a complimentary
Drambuie chaser. Every year the Ball proves to be a tremendous success – a
truly memorable evening and simply the best party to welcome in the New Year!
The price per person is £135.Attire is black tie, kilts and ballgowns. Please note
that tables for the evening will be set in placings of 12. The hotel will assist in
placing smaller party sizes suitable together.

THE COURTYARD TAKEAWAY

Our awesome takeaway has a few NEW dishes on
the menu.
Takeaway is here to stay permanently, via our brand
new purpose-designed Takeaway kitchens. Collection
for guests is now from our Courtyard entrance and
food will be served to the “collection table of joy” to
the minute it was ordered!

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Congratulations and well done to our November 2021
Employee of the Month, Maintenance Manager John
Davidson.

John who joined the hotel brigade earlier this year has
brought a very swift approach in terms of getting the
never-ending list of maintenance jobs done!

John has received a bottle of Champagne, a dinner for two
which includes cocktails on arrival and a bottle of wine with
his meal.

Well deserved!

style we think he truly deserves it. Balfour
enjoys to wearing the wonderful handmade
creations from Bowzobows

In this picture he is rocking the (Hebrides)
Harris Tweed in Jade & Purple check and he
loves it!

When asked to comment on his style Balfour
barked “I owe it all to my mummy, as she
picks all my bows! “
