Cultures, Traditions and Heritage

What is culture? SMK SERI NIBONG

It's the umbrella of everything related to people - from social
norms and practices found in their societies to everything else
within them - beliefs, traits, arts, laws, religions, capabilities,
traits, languages, and attires.

There can be a set of cultures within a country, and together,
they make an identity. A tradition is an old belief or custom of a
group of people of a particular culture, which is passed down
from parents to children over many generations. For example,
the Yanomami tribe in Amazon are known for not burying the
dead. Instead, they will cremate the bodies and the ashes and
bone powder from the cremation are then being added to a
soup and consumed by the deceased's family. It's believed that
by doing so, the spirit of the dead will reside within them for
eternity. This tradition which is a precious heritage that is still
being practised until today makes the world more interesting.

Oftentimes, each country has their own culture that shapes
their people's identities and behaviours. Look at the picture.

origins and cultures that you will find out. And of course, the
more connected you can be with other people around the
