The waterfall

A creature led me into something I would never forget...

Water Fall By: Cadence Dack

It was a fantastic day to get out the door for a walk in Greenway Forest. The birds sing like a musical. The branches snap as I step from one foot to the next. It was so peaceful and nice I sat down on the path and almost fell asleep.

Just then I hear something from the bushes rustling. I thought it could be a raccoon with rabies! Just then a porcupine popped out of the bush suddenly. I sat up quickly, my back cracking from sitting down so long. It looked like he was more scared of me than I was of him because the next second his spikes stood high.

After we both calm down he trots off the path. My curious mind follows him off the path. Being too short to fit I bend down on my hands and knees. Branches snapping from me crawling on them, SNAP!

Just then from afar, you could see something just beautiful and magical. He soon leads me into a fairy garden and the flowers bleeding heart pink and white.

The trees are alive as ever mushrooms rose red. As I step on mushrooms, Squish!

Sunflowers waving in the soft flowing wind. The sun radiate down on us, The waterfall in the distance.

The sand sparklings from high, rocky paths leading down.

The porcupine waddled back and forth down a path to the waterfall and the beach. Little animals playing in the water Splash! Swoosh! As we are soon ending the rocky path down, You can tell no human has been here for a long time.

As we end the path. I touch the sand, It feels like a warm blanket. The waterfall splashes into the pond. Water blue and calm you could see to the bottom. The animals are not afraid but curiosity came to me the turtles doggy paddle towards me fish follow. I glance to my side and see the porcupine snuggle me from the side.

A fox comes from the shadows and curiously trots toward me. Sniffs and lays down not too close but close enough curling in a ball. I take off my shoes and dip my toes into the sand and into the water.

I lay back and felt calm any stress I had was far gone at peace for once.
