The following are some basic greetings and conversations in English with the
Spanish translation. This contact kit will help those who want to learn simple
Spanish, phrases and greetings. This material will be a good tool to use when

you come in contact with Spanish Adventist members.

The contact survival kit has an accompanying audio file; you can listen to it as

you read along with the lesson script.

The accompanying audio is divided into eight sections for easy listening.

Practice Speaking the Spanish Alphabet.

Learning the Spanish alphabet will help you with the pronunciation of the language.

After you know and understand the alphabet, you will be able to understand,
pronounce, read and write in Spanish. If you put your all into it, your mind will grasp
the concept, structure and grammar of the language.

The Spanish alphabet at present supports 27 letters, but there are 3 other letters use
making it 4 letters that are not found in the English Alphabet, these letters are
difficult for some English speakers. See them written below.

The letters ch, (written in Spanish as, che, and pronounce as, chay.) and the ll,
(written in Spanish as, elle, and pronounce as, ayyay, (they are found under the
letters, c and l.) The rr, (written in Spanish as, erre, and pronounce as, airr ray. This
letter may or may not be considered or included in the alphabet by many.

The rr, this can be tough for Spanish beginners, but with much practice, you will get
the hang of it and then you will be able to master it in due time. Practice rolling the
rr, think of a motor cycle. Do you remember when you were a little kid, how you used
your mouth pretending you were riding? This time instead of using your lips to
produce the sound, try using your tongue to produce the sound of an engine. This
seems a little crazy but it works. Try it and have some fun, you have to make your
learning experience exciting.
