Sophocles‐ he wrote plays that were known to be sad, because
back then plays were either sad or comedy.
Aeschylus‐ He was arguably the founder of all serious Greek
drama.
Poetry
Homer‐ was a famous poet who wrote epic poems. Two of his
most famous works are lliad and odyssey
History
Herodotus‐ He was consider the father of history and wrote
down a lot of thing. He wrote down and talked about the
persian war
Thucyides‐ He wrote about the Peloponnesian war.
Sculpture
Phidias‐ famous sculputer scuplt a statue of zeus. He also built
the parthenon with help.
Architecture
Columns
Doric‐ is the most basic type of column. The colums on the
parthenon
Ionic‐ the next column more advance has a tad bit of
decoration at the top.
Corinthian‐ The most advanced column.
Science
Archimedes‐ that concept of objects sinking and floating
Hippocrates‐ is know as the father of medicine. There is an oath
that all doctors have to take that is named after him.
Mathematics
Pythagoras‐ He has theorem that is named after him that a kids
take in school and it is centered around triangles
Euclid‐ Has to do with geometry
Philosophy
Socrates‐ Was a teacher who taught plato. He was put to death.
He devolped his on method that was named after him. Believed
that everying should be thought through.
Plato‐ student of Socrates. Wrote the pehelic.
Aristotle‐Student of Plato. Taught Alexander the great.
Established an academy
