Take one solid side and one of the front/back sides. With a blue tail, sew the side but leave anything above row 12 free. We will sew this part later. 3. Sew the remaining two sides together using blue yarn. All sides should be sewn except for one. See photo. 4. On one of the pieces with the white wavy part, add the safety eyes between rows 6&7, placing them about 3 stitches apart. Sew on mouth. Use hot glue and add felt cheeks. With embroidery floss, stitch the word “Milk” below row 12. 5. With a white tail, sew the white parts above row 12 to the blue sides of the carton (the part we pinched together in step 1). With a white tail, repeat step 5 for the next side of the carton. This will form the next part of the triangle top. 8. Once all sides are sewn together, the top white pieces will remain open. Join with blue yarn and sc across 9 times. Ch 1 and turn, then sc across 9 times again. This will form the “tab” along the top of the carton. 9. Trace one side of the carton onto the cardboard (leaving the top triangle out) and cut out 4 pieces. Place around the inside of the carton and add fiberfill. 10. With base piece- trace onto cardboard and cut out. With a blue tail, sew the base to the bottom of the carton. Before sewing up the last side, finish adding fiberfill and insert cardboard piece. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Insert pipe cleaner into stick. A little will stick out at the bottom- insert this end into the apple. With yarn needle, sew the stick to the center of the apple, on top of the magic ring. Base Using brown yarn, R1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 sts) R2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts) R3: *Sc 1, inc* 6 times. (18 sts) Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. With yarn needle, sew the base to the bottom of the apple. Weave the needle through the back loops leftover from round 14 of the apple and round 3 from the base. Before closing piece, make sure to add fiberfill. Finally, before securing the tail, weave it up to the top of the apple and come out the top. Insert the needle going back into the apple, making sure to be in a different stitch near the magic ring. Pull tail to make a little indent on the apple. Secure and hide end.

Then insert the eyes into the face piece, placing them between rounds 2&3, still leaving them unsecured. Add a nose and mouth with black floss. Set face piece aside.
