You had come to visit and inform me that the issue was resolved, telling me that you even took the trouble asking PDG. Gen. Saiyud Kerdphol to switch from toasting the monarch, whom I had said that he has no relationship with the Rotary, to toasting our honorary member, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. I learned later that it went back to square one, without me being informed by either of you. As I had informed both of you over a week ago what I would do if such incident happened, I hereby submit my resignation from the Rotary Club of Bangkok, effective from November 29, 2020. I wish that the Rotary Club of Bangkok that I have been a member for two decades would continue its leadership in the Rotary movement in Thailand, with unyielding integrity and that its leadership would never yield to whatever power-that-be.
