Fellow Nomads,

Thanks for a great day at St Francis Links. I would like
to thank the following members:

Ÿ Thanks to the Ladies for the administration work

that they did for us ensuring that we could start our
game on time, as well as completion of the process after the game.

Ÿ Thanks to Jeff and St Francis Links for hosting us on Sunday.

Ÿ Thanks to Paul for the Bus and the refreshments on the bus.

We were 49 Nomads playing on Sunday with 13 visitors. Thanks to all the
Nomads who continue to bring visitors to our monthly games. We need to
continue with this and try and convince the 'good' prospects to join our
group.

The Bus trip back to PE went well and there was only one problem... Steve
Pritchard misplaced his golf bag only to be found in St Francis on Monday.

Good day fellow Nomads,

.The game played Sunday was played in hardly any wind
and what a pleasure it was. Thanks to Jeff Clause and
the staff for accommodating us on the day. Thanks to all
who helped with the bus trip and to the ladies and Ian Gooden with the
registration and score cards.

My AMT year this year will be starting with the Race Day to be held on the
27th July 2018 at Fairview Race Course, could all Nomads try to attend as it
is for charity. My charity for this year is the Lake Farm Centre, which looks
after intellectually and physically challenged adults.

My thanks to my AMT committee who if anybody wants to contribute or
donate can contact.

JVC News

Good day Fellow Nomads

My first game as the new JVC and I will have some good
and bad memories of our game at the St. Francis Links.

Let`s start with the good. First and foremost I think the
guys had and enjoyable bus trip. I had the honour of being your waiter for
the trip and must say I quiet enjoyed it as well, purely for the fact that I had
the opportunity to have interacted with all of our guests and mainly getting
to know some older serving members that I have not had much interaction
with in the past. Thanks to Shaun Ryan who sponsored the chips and milk.

On the trip back, we thankfully did not leave any body behind, except for
Stevie Pritchard, to have lost his clubs. Instead of making sure that his
clubs went on the bus, they somehow found their way into Dennis`s bakkie.
Stevie never a less had a sleepless night and only recovered them on the
Monday.

The bad. Guys, we are all here to enjoy ourselves with a round of golf, but
when visitors on the day come to me and say that that they have not
enjoyed their game because of a member is too under the weather to play or
behaving unbefitting of a nomad, then we have a problem. By all means
have fun, but control your drinking before and after, please. We are trying to
recruit new members, not chase them away. If you open a tab at the club,
MAKE SURE YOU PAY IT.

To my fourball, Chris Lessing, Patrick Gumunyu and Kelvin Hooke, thank
you for an enjoyable day. Sorry my “A Game” was not there, but, it was a
pleasure to have been in your company.

Thanks to John for the help of setting up the Altar and all those unfortunate
to have played bad golf (Alter Bunnies) in assisting in packing up.
Congratulations to all the lucky winners. Thanks to the equipment officer
Dennis for making sure the alter arrived in St. Francis and to the ladies,
Jeanne, Bev and Christell, thank you for your time and hard work that you
all put in for us on the day.

A reminder to members of important information and upcoming events

Late withdrawal from Monthly and Special Games
-members are requested to notify Jean of their intended withdrawal before 17h00 on a Friday
before a game or be liable for the green fees. NO MEMBERS may enter or withdraw on behalf
of other members!

Payments
-Would all Nomads doing EFT or bank deposits please use your name as a reference.
Cheques to be made out to: Nomads Golf Club Eastern Cape

Divisional Trophies
-Those members who have been victorious at a monthly game are urged to return their divisional
trophies to the Equipment Officer before the next game or incur a R200.00 fine

Tee-Off Times
-the Starter is struggling to ensure that the field gets off the tee box on time at our various games
-we urge you to arrive in due time at the respective courses, bearing in mind all that must be done
before even teeing up your ball on the 1st

Early Leavers (You will be fined!!)
You will be charged R20.00 for apologies at Registration -
R40 for apologies after the game and R100 for not apologising at all.
“Note that prize giving is part of the day and we owe it to our sponsors to attend.”

-Regulation dress is required at all times. The correct attire can be obtained from Orion Meyer.
